What you'll be doing…Verizon Connect provides GPS-enabled fleet management and tracking products that help businesses reduce fleet costs, increase productivity and improve customer satisfaction. Our best-in-class solutions deliver a comprehensive set of capabilities including real time mapping, detailed activity reports, email alerts and more – all delivered through an easy-to-use web based interface. We have an immediate need for a Product Owner to develop valuable additions to our growing suite of products. This is a highly impactful role within the Verizon Connect Product Team.
You will be responsible for clearly defining the requirements by working and driving cross-functional teams to define and ensure the success of our Fleet Management products.
You will need to be self-directed and collaborative cultivate relationships with teams partners. Defining product requirements – writing and prioritizing use cases. Collaborating within your cross-functional team to produce market driving user experiences that are creative and easy-to-use which solve customer needs and market problems. Writing Agile-based epics/stories that conform to best practices including acceptance criteria, positive and negative paths, etc. Managing product backlog, prioritising feature development, support execution plans and ensure the developed product is quality assured following the roadmap. Partnering with Product Managers, Development Teams, UX teams, and other stakeholders to understand customer requirements and needs and envision new product solutions. Incorporating feedback input from customers, partners and teams on product requirements. Working with stakeholders to plan work for Development and QA and field engineering and deployments. Ensuring products and releases are launched correctly and on schedule.
Gathering customer feedback, run advisory sessions, UAT sessions and measure/manage NPS post launch. Analysing data to understand product performance/uptime/usage post launch. Root cause product issues and managing customer expectations. Providing support to Implementation, Customer Application Support teams. Partnering on product documentation during the Go-to-Market process for new features. Operating in a highly matrixed, globally distributed organization. Managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced and changing environment. Clearly effectively communicating the roadmaps, product plans, project status updates and timelines to internal stakeholder teams to ensure alignment and cross-group readiness. Assisting with other Product Management responsibilities as needed. What we're looking for. . . You'll need to have:Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience. Experience as a Product Owner/Business Analyst/Technical Project Manager in a technical environment. Experience operating in an Agile Lean/Kanban product dev environment, interacting with both hardware and software development processes. Even better if you have. . . Knowledge in managing and building consumer electronic hardware/devices. Experience in creating superior user experiences for Mobile Web-based products. Experience working with OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) or working in an SOA environment (Service-oriented architecture). Understanding of Telematics. API (Application programming interface) or microservice specification knowledge. Experience performing data queries in databases, validating data quality or working with SQL, JSON and/or XML. Basic understanding of modern software development technologies and languages. Experience working in Wiki JIRA. Hold an advanced engineering degree (EE, CS, ME, similar) w/high technical aptitude or extensive practical experience working with IoT solutions. Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and writing skills.
