- Our Category Management community works between the theoretical and the practical - linking product strategy and development to the overall business.
Within the Category Management, our Product Specialists are focused on the needs and behaviors of customers, defining the strategic product vision, and ensuring alignment to business objectives.
We collaborate closely with Quality, Sourcing, Supply Chain Management and Sales to initiate product planning, and manage implementation.
The Product Specialist manages the assigned product range incl.
definition of product specification, new product launches, continuation of suppling, product lifecycle management, catalog data, quality requirements and value proposition. - PRODUCT SPECIALIST HEAVY DUTY**Responsibilities**:
- Product range expansion for Truck&Bus, Agriculture and Construction segments with a focus on sealing products
- Stay up to date on market trends and competitor activity, providing insights and recommendations for product development and marketing strategies
- Participate in aftermarket events and exhibitions to promote company products and build relationships with key stakeholders
- Analyze and report on sales performance, market share, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement
- Assist in training and development of sales team members to enhance their product knowledge and selling skills
- Stay updated on industry regulations and standards, ensuring compliance in all product development and marketing activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute market strategies, including pricing, promotions, and new product launches
- Launch of new products in all the relevant system (SAP, e-catalog, ) and execute daily maintenance activities to guarantee a high level of catalogue data and material master data quality in accordance with the internal and external expectations
- Drive continuous improvement and optimize processes, ensuring the product quality through close cooperation with suppliers regarding technology, quality and reverse engineering
- Contribute to the overall success and growth of the company by actively participating in strategic planning and ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives
- Drive activities and track progress to achieve the defined targets
**Qualifications**:
- Education and experience preferred:
- Minimum of 5+ years' experience in Product Management in the independent aftermarket business in within the Truck&Bus, Agriculture and Construction segments
- Engineer or technician or comparable education (automotive sector or technically oriented)
- Basic knowledge of SAP, proficiency in MS Office
- Fluent English business is a must to have
Skills and competencies needed:
- Deep understanding of the market, including distribution network (all levels, e. g. , wholesalers, retailers, workshops, e-com, ), customers, competitors, and suppliers
- Interest in the spare parts IAM - Independent After Market and the market segments, capable of gathering, collecting and analyzing market data
- Capability to work on multiple projects and balance competing priorities
- Customer oriented, self-organized, structured, and systematic working methods and resilient
- Able to translate customer wants and needs into new products
- Clear communication/interpersonal skills coupled with emotional intelligence to adjust your style based on your audience
- Entrepreneurial thinker and team player
