Role Overview
**Job overview and responsibilities
The Materials Cluster Product Stewardship organization is embedded in the Corporate Industrial Function, but interacts closely with multiple functions within the Materials Cluster providing regulatory expertise and guidance to the businesses.
The Product Stewardship Coordinator for Radical Polymers reports directly to the Product Stewardship Manager for Radical Polymers.
- Propose regulatory submission strategies and achieve Product Stewardship Chemical Inventory Listings in support of the business strategy in China, Korea and Australia.
- Responsible for gaining and maintaining agency listings as directed by business management for Radical Polymers i. e.
EU drinking water approvals, EFSA approval, EU food contact letters, and support FDA for Fluoropolymers, etc.
- Propose strategy to test a product in order to have it approved in different geographic areas.
- CAS number registration using CAS Services.
- Compliance with Solvay's SMILE project.
- Participation in Plastics Europe for the Drinking Water working group & Federchimica Food Contact working group.
- Management of the PVDC business' EU food contact testing and EU food contact approvals.
- Respond to internal and external requests for product safety information on fluorinated products.
**Education and experience
**Education**:
- Bachelor degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or other technical discipline.
**Experience**:
- Understanding of polymer chemistry a plus
- 5+ years (preferred experience in polymers chemistry, analytical chemistry and/or Product Stewardship)
