Production Planner
Job Targets: The mission of the position is to plan and coordinate production workflow for one or multiple products and lines. Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay, taking into account optimum use of resources. Dimensions/Organisation/Magnitude: Planning 10 assembly lines and 6 semi-product departments organized into 4 shifts per day, 140 references for 6 main customers. Internal/External Contracts: Supply chain manager, production manager, warehousing & distribution, quality, and SQM. Areas of Responsibility/Main Tasks: Planning: Performing all tasks directly involved in preparation for production, considering the order situation, production capacities, stock levels, production backlogs, delivery backlogs, procurement situations, and personnel resources to create optimum production conditions. Develop a production schedule detailing all tasks and their completion timelines to meet predicted completion dates. Detailed control of the production sequence to optimize resource use. Coordinate material movements between production units to ensure an optimum production run. Contribute to cooperation with all parties involved, forwarding relevant information to keep everyone informed and create an optimum logistics chain. Setup and monitor KANBAN control cycles for finished and semi-finished goods, supporting production in establishing KANBAN control cycles for raw materials and semi-finished products. Problem Solving: Troubleshoot problems that occur during production. Identify shortages, bottlenecks, or other inventory-related issues. Ensure issues do not re-occur. Proactively tackle blocks and barriers to progress. Liaise with production for clarification and coordination of balanced and de-conflicted demands and plans. Required Knowledge: Products, systems, and technologies (functionalities and applications). Supply Chain Management (including logistics policies, systems, and processes). Quality management (including quality policies, systems, and processes). Local language & culture (intercultural sensitivity). Problem-solving and decision-making tools and techniques. Project management skills, tools, and techniques. Business knowledge of commercial conditions and influence on P&L. Knowledge of SAP ERP Modules: PP-SD-APO. Phase In & Out Process Management.
