_Midsummer Italy_ is now preparing to start up the production facility in Bari and are currently looking for a Production technician with specialization in control systems/automation.

**Job description**:

**Responsibilities**:

- Diagnose issues within the production and provide a plan of action on how to approach the issue.

- Analyze all facets of production and make recommendations for improvement.

- Installation and commissioning of machines and equipment.

- Plan, organize and perform maintenance activities.

- Communicate with suppliers to order and maintain spare part inventory for production machinery.

- Respond to breakdowns.

- Report down time and possible trends.

- Undertake special projects as required.

- Support and lead process improvement activities.

- Lead and/or support operators in their work.

- Train people within own work group on correct operation procedures.

- Troubleshoot different bus communications, like PROFIBUS, EtherCAT and ASi safety.

- Install software, take backups, manage backups, and restore backups for different control systems, in particular Beckhoff.

- Connect to different control systems, PLC's, smart actuators and sensors to change settings and make adjustments.

- Work closely with the Process Engineer when it comes to determining whether replacement of certain equipment would be necessary.

**Requirements and skills**:

- Bachelor in automation engineering or equivalent vocational training or equivalent working experience as a production technician with experience in control systems or similar.

- Fundamental/basic skill of troubleshooting machines and control system.

- Basic knowledge of electricity.

- Minimum C1 in English written and oral skills.

- 2-4 years of experience in Production.

- Independently determines approach to assigned task.

- Understand manufacturing processes and how one process affects the next one.

- Understand engineering and technical information.

- Understand Health and Safety practices.

- Ability to train the work group and lead teams within the work group.

- Ability to understand yield and OEE improvement work.

- Proactive, flexible and takes responsibility to finish a task.

- You can work both independently and in a group.

- Strong problem-solving skills.

- Ability to plan and prioritize activities.

**Desired Skills**:

- Knowledge in Twincat and EtherCat.

- Knowledge in ASi safety and Asimon.

- Some IT and network knowledge.
