Program Manager - Earth Observation
Main accountabilities and responsibilities: Manage the entrusted Programs in agreement with the Contracts constraints/planning and assigned budget Support the budget definition Identify and Manage the program risks in accordance with the Company's guidelines and procedures Manage or Contribute significantly in important bid and proposal process Ensure integration and coordination among the different internal/external entities (e. g.
engineering, legal affairs, trade compliance, procurement, industrial accounting) involved either in the entrusted Programs or in the proposal process Prepare and maintain the road map of assigned project, consistent with the assigned budget and contractual constraints.
Ensure that the contracts are executed within the baseline (cost and schedule) defined during the offer process.
Manage the relationships with the customer and the customer requirements (explicit and implicit, technical and not) during contract execution Ensure integration and synchronization among the different activity areas in order to achieve the program targets Execute and Control the project activities and be accountable for the relevant cost and schedule KPI's (EBIT/Revenues).
Support the configuration management and product assurance process Provide periodic reporting to upper management Management Proposal preparation and cost collection and analysis Interface with commercial team and supporting to identify new initiatives Requirements: Degree in Engineering, Technical-Scientific Degree Knowledge of main Engineering and Operative ECSS applicable Standard Knowledge of main rules and characteristics to manage Programs Qualification to manage classified programs At least 2 years of experience in similar role or in the development of a Space complex system in either Engineering or Operations Dept Proficiency English knowledge is a must MS Office package – Deep understanding and knowledge of IT tools which support the program management processes (SAP) Technical skills: Experience in the field of space Earth Observation Knowledge of Project/ Program Management techniques ( such as requirements definition and management, planning & control, stakeholders identification and management Experience in large proposal preparation and Offer delivery Economics Knowledge (advance level) – understanding of main financial parameter (i. e. EBIT , Cash Flow, and others economics) Leadership & Team Management Result oriented Negotiation skills (Italian and English) Customer oriented Able to work under pressure 1 Rome, Latium , Italy Telespazio works to bring Space closer to Earth, benefitting citizens, institutions and companies in a variety of sectors ranging from design and development of space systems to management of launch services and in orbit satellite control; from Earth observation to integrated satellite communication, navigation and localisation services, and through to scientific programmes.
