Program Manager, Emea News Partnerships
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- Experience in program management or in project management
- Ability to speak and write in English fluently
Preferred qualifications:
- Knowledge of news/news business and ecosystem or equivalent experience in another industry with interest in news
- Ability to interpret legal documents and work with attorneys on specific agreement language
- Outstanding organizational skills with an ability to think strategically and prioritize often competing tasks
- Excellent communication, presentation planning, and time management skills, with attention to detail

The EMEA News Publishing Partnerships team works to transform Google's relationships with the news industry in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.
Our team provides valuable solutions, from helping news organizations grow and transform their business and find new audiences, to helping our long-term partners anticipate and navigate change in a way that delivers economic and reputational value.
We collaborate across different product areas at Google, ensuring a coordinated approach when engaging with our strategic partners, including news associations/trade bodies, to grow our business and theirs, build trust, and deepen relationships.
Our team collaborates closely with other teams to tell great stories about our engagement with the news industries and influence key opinion formers in our region.
As a Program Manager for the News Partnerships team in Europe, you will work with program managers and other cross-functional teams to oversee, plan, coordinate, and deliver programs for news publishers, trade associations and collective bodies.
The team is fast-paced, and our goals and priorities are always evolving.
You will have the skills to function and thrive in changing environments and be a creative thinker with excellent problem solving, analytical, and communication skills with a solution-oriented approach.
You will be responsible for building and nurturing cross-functional relationships and updating internal stakeholders on progress and impact of these programs on a recurring basis.

We collaborate across Google, ensuring a coordinated approach when engaging with our most complex and strategic partners.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and maintain project plans, responsibility assignment matrix (RACI), and other cross-functional deliverables.
- Perform an extensive array of administrative tasks and provide operational support to the news team.
- Lead project meetings with external partner agencies, and gather updates on deliverables from multiple cross-functional teams.
- Drive organizational and executional excellence across our news programs.
- Manage metrics by which we define success.
