Organizational SettingThe Resource Mobilization Division (PSR) leads and coordinates the mobilization of voluntary contributions in support of the Organization's strategic priorities.
The PSR manages the Organization's close and constant relationship with its resource partners, develops and disseminates qualitative and quantitative donor analytics, and conducts extensive capacity development on resource mobilization for FAO field and headquarters staff. Within PSR, the consultant works as part of the PSR Reporting Team, responsible for project reporting policies and ensuring the highest quality of development results. Reporting LinesThe incumbent reports to the Head of Reporting (PSR). Technical FocusProject analysis and technical project reporting. The incumbent will provide high-level technical support to write, review, revise and translate terminal reports for Technical Cooperation Programme and Trust Fund projects in collaboration with decentralized offices and technical units. Tasks and ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support in applying, interpreting and ensuring compliance with FAO's corporate policy and procedures for project Terminal Reporting. Conduct research, interpret and analyze information, integrating evidence collected by project teams and identifying gaps. Assist in the identification of recommendations and propose the structure of findings in coordination with decentralized offices and technical units. Prepare accurate, concise and well-researched project highlight sheets. Support unit knowledge management and record all project reporting-related information. Identify gaps and develop training materials on reporting. Provide support, guidance and training to junior project analysts and reporting specialists. Participate in regular reporting and planning processes and relevant meetings. Undertake short missions, as required. Perform other related duties as required. CANDIDATES WILL BE ASSESSED AGAINST THE FOLLOWINGUniversity degree in relevant fields. At least 2 years for Category C, 5 years for Category B and 10 years for Category A of relevant experience. Working knowledge of English, French or Spanish. FAO Core CompetenciesPrior experience in writing and evaluating technical project reports is desirable. Selection CriteriaLimited knowledge of one of the other two languages is an asset. Understanding of the work of the United Nations and development interventions.
