Project Controller (Maternity Cover)

The Human Technopole Foundation (HT) is an interdisciplinary research institute, created and supported by the Italian government, whose aim is to develop innovative strategies to promote human health and healthy aging through a multidisciplinary and integrated approach, combining genomics, computational biology, structural biology, neuroscience and health data science.
HT scientists work together to enable interdisciplinary research and to create an open, collaborative environment to help promote life science research nationally and internationally.
In line with its mission to serve the research community at large, HT operates National Facilities, specifically aimed at making HT's technologies, methods and tools available to the national scientific community.
The Human Technopole Foundation is looking for a **Project Controller (maternity cover).
The role, part of the Campus Development & Facility Management Team and reporting to the Head of Campus Development & Facility Management, is responsible for overseeing all aspects of planning, scheduling, and controlling the progress of tasks and projects within the area of Campus Development & Facility Management (CDFM).
The role includes budget planning and monitoring, stakeholder coordination, reporting, and aligning activities with organizational goals.
The Project Controller also provides tools and processes to ensure that projects meet time and cost objectives, while collaborating closely with the PMO, Procurement, Finance, and the Technical Secretariat.
**Your main tasks and responsibilities**:
- Define project objectives, strategies, and stakeholder lists in collaboration with the Head of CDFM;
- Create and maintain Gantt charts and other infographic tools to provide updated status reports for CDFM activities;
- Identify critical paths and propose solutions to mitigate delays or cost overruns;
- Assist the Head of CDFM in the planning, monitoring, and implementation of the yearly budget, 3-year works plan, and budget revisions;
- Define and support extra budget requests as needed;
- Use the ERP system to generate reports on budget, purchases, and deliveries;
- Produce periodic budget evolution reports with details for each assigned cost center;
- Track the progress of tasks and projects to ensure adherence to time, cost, and quality objectives;
- Support the respect of deadlines and goals for each task/project doing the necessary follow up actions;
- Collaborate with the Technical Secretariat and CDFM team to acquire real-time status updates on project activities;
- Manage interactions with Procurement and Finance to align on priorities, schedules, and urgent requests;
- Facilitate communication between CDFM and the HT PMO to ensure alignment of strategies, priorities and progress tracking;
- Manage and improve the asset management project, support the digitalization programme;
- Support the development of better planning processes and tools to enhance project management practices.
**Mandatory requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architectural or a related field;
- At least 3 years of experience in project control, planning, or management roles within complex organizational infrastructures projects;
- Expertise in creating and analyzing Gantt charts, reports and infographics for project updates;
- Fluency in Italian, written and spoken and good knowledge of English - HT is an international institute.
**Preferred requirements**:
- Certification in project management tools or methodologies (e. g. , PRINCE2, PMP) is desirable;
- Previous experience in public sector is considered a plus.

- Strong communication and collaboration abilities to interact with diverse stakeholders;
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset to identify critical paths and propose solutions.

**Contract offered**: CCNL Collective Agreement Chimico Farmaceutico, employee level, fixed-term maternity leave contract.
**Salary range**: € 35 - € 42k based on experience and seniority.
