Project Cost Controller
Ferbeck International SA is an EPC contractor of high-rise structures operating in the Oil & Gas and Power Generation sector; it is selecting a PROJECT COST CONTROLLER for Milan office, Italy.
Reporting into the Operations Director and working alongside the Project team, the Cost Controller will be responsible for managing the financial performance of individual projects.
He will support Management by providing reports and producing accurate forecasting and cash flow data.
The Cost Controller must ensure control of revenues and costs in the various phases of the project, with respect to the initial estimates and constantly provide the most updated and documented final forecast of these revenues and costs.
In particular, it must ensure the following activities:
- Develop the Cost Control procedures required by the project.
- Process the Control Budget on the basis of the Commercial Budget and review it appropriately during the execution phase of the project.
- In collaboration with the Project Managers, keep the hours spent and the costs incurred under control, informing the CLIENT's Representative in the event of increases to the Scope of Work.
- Ensure and verify the correct management of key Cost Control parameters, relative analysis of deviations, propose any mitigation actions.
- Analyze the possible impact that an increase in costs in one work area can have cascading on the other areas.
- Support the evaluation of the Change Orders requested by the Customer, of the Extra Works, of any Claims of the Sub-Contractors, Suppliers.
- Preparation of the Cost Control Report or Summary Card with related qualifications and variance analysis.
- Preparation of the project receipts / disbursements plan (Cash-Flow).
- Preparation of any Debit Notes with related supporting documents.
- Contribute to the optimization of administrative and cost control related processes and procedures within the department.
- Initiate and co-ordinate improvements specifically related to project administration.
- Travel to the project sites.
**Requirements**:
- BSc / MSc degree in Business Administration or Accountancy or BSc / MSc degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years cost control experience
- Excellent knowledge of accounting with advanced skills in MS Excel
- Proficiency with MS Project
- Excellent language skill: English and Italian
Employment contract: Fixed term
