Project Delivery Director - Italy & Croatia
Company Description
The role of Delivery Director is representing the totality of Project Delivery Unit (PDU) activities within a designated country or region.
The Delivery Director is PDU's primary interface towards the Asset Owner and the business
- and project development teams within their country, with the aim to collaborate and contribute to value creation throughout the development and delivery phases of projects across all technologies.
The Delivery Director will be responsible for delivery of projects across all technologies keeping tight control of safety/time/quality/cost whilst strictly adhering to the project governance principles of Statkraft.

**Location**: Milan
**The role of Delivery Director is the main interface **to Asset Owner and the project development teams in-country.
The role will contribute to and share responsibility for the country business strategy and value creation.
- Manage a portfolio of projects to ensure successful outcomes and ensure the required resources are in place to support the business
- Ensure excellent coordination with Asset Owner(s) and the in-country development teams by providing expertise and technical capacity as required for projects during early development stages
- Resource ownership** **and development responsibility for all project operative resources** **within country.
Ensure proper competence and resource allocation to project teams.
Safeguard the health and welfare of the workforce
- Ensure involvement and use of resources from central PDU functions (Technical Management, PMO, HSSE), as well as Procurement and Legal to support projects
- Assume role of Project Manager, Programme Manager or delegated Project Owner's Representative, as required and as per Statkraft Project Governance and Capital Project Model (CPM)
- Adapt a fit-for-purpose organisation supporting high resource utilisation and mobility across the project portfolio, and across all phases of the project lifecycle
- Ensure compliance to CPM, appropriate nomination to project roles, and develop consistent understanding or roles and responsibilities aligned to Statkraft's project governance model
**Leadership responsibilities**:
The role report to VP Project Delivery Southern Europe and is a member of the Southern European PDU management team.
Mandates and decision authorities are defined in the Authority Matrix and the Operating Model.
The role shall manage and develop the unit to ensure delivery of targets, including:
- Ensure the safety, well-being, and development of employees
- Develop the organisation to deliver on business priorities and ensure collaboration with other units
- Ensure awareness of and adherence with Code of Conduct and The Statkraft Way
- Oversee the overall planning, budgeting, and performance management process within the unit
**Qualifications**:
**Education
Higher relevant education within engineering and business, preferably at Master´s level.
**Experience and knowledge
Solid experience from
- Project Management and Project Governance roles
- Management position of similar magnitude, preferably in a large or medium-sized international organisation
- Project management of large capital investment projects within renewables or other large societal infrastructure
- Overseeing project development processes ensuring compliance to high technical and assurance standards
- Contractual and commercial problem solving in context of construction projects
- Solid operational experience and understanding of complex operational and organisational challenges - able to master work in a matrix organisation
- Industry/technology specific knowledge and experience is an advantage
- Deep technical and commercial insight
