Thales people architect and deliver satellite-based systems that help position, connect and observe our planet, and push the boundaries of our understanding of planet's resources.

Our systems are in orbit at 400 km, 20000 km, 36000 km and beyond to the edges of the solar system.

The Project Design Authority (PDA) is in charge of Design Authority implementation on the bid/project.

He is accountable for Solution compliance within the framework of Product Policy standards and regulation.

Acts as the primary technical leader of the project team and as the technical interface with customer.

The PDA is the overall responsible for Solution compliance for Bid and Project Phases,

The PDA ensures that the Solution architectural design satisfies Customer needs, is implemented in line with the Product Policy and with applicable design legislation, rules and regulations (with the adequate support of relevant entities), and that the technical risks are identified and mitigated.

**Key duties**:

- Act as member of the System Engineering Management Unit

- Manage the requirements allocation and flow down by using DOORS

- Preparation and maintenance of the System Engineering Management Plan, and

definition and management of Mission & System Requirements.

- Ensures that the Solution architectural design satisfies Customer needs

- Coordinate the ProjectEngineering team

- Support to coordinates Manages Risks and Opportunities in the DDQS process

- Support the organization and coordination of the main project reviews (e, g

Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review and FAR)

- Prepare the planning of technical activities in order to meet the program schedule

- Define the Design and Development approach applicable processes

- Perform the engineering activities control in consistency with time, cost and

performances required

- Support the Launch campaign activities preparation

- Prepare the Design Validation (DVa) document in accordance to Thales Chorus

guideline

**Skills, experience and qualifications required**:

- Master degree in Engineering preferred.

- Able to manage multiple tasks at one time.

- Good will in facing and learning new things.

- Fluent English (spoken and written).

- Master SEEDS is appreciated.

- Good attitude towards teaming and multi-disciplinary approaches

- Available to work in shifts if requested by the Program

- Respect of Company hierarchy, rules and discipline

- Attitude to work respecting budgets and schedule constraints

- Several years of experience in project engineering management
