The Manpower Group, in collaboration with Fincantieri NexTech SpA, is seeking a PROJECT ENGINEER - AUTOMAZIONE NAVALE for the Genoa office.
Responsibilities:The selected candidate will be responsible for the design of data distribution and management systems (DDU), decision support systems (DDS), and automation in the naval sector, dealing with:
Development of solutions based on customer specifications and drafting of technical documentation compliant with site requirements. Coordination with clients and suppliers, participation in tests (HAT & SAT), sea trials, and onboard activities. Verification of installations and work compared to project documentation and quality standards. Assistance and support to project management in planning, work progress, and compliance with safety and environmental requirements. Requirements:Diploma in electronic/electrotechnical engineering and/or a degree in electronic engineering;Basic electronic and electrical skills;Good knowledge of written and spoken English;Office Suite knowledge;Driving License B;Organizational skills, decision-making autonomy, critical thinking, problem-solving, activity management and control, effective communication, assertiveness, and resilience.
Willingness to work in a team, proactivity, and a desire to learn and improve processes. Preferred qualifications (not mandatory):Knowledge of regulations governing supplies in the field of Bridge equipment (Solas, Rina Mil, and IMO)Knowledge of naval sensor systems (echosounder, speedlog, ais, weather stations, anemometer, gyrocompass)Knowledge of radar anti-collision systems and ARPA processorsKnowledge of autopilot systemsKnowledge of black box systems (VDR)Knowledge of electronic cartography systems (ECDIS)Knowledge of external ship communication systems (GMDSS)Knowledge of internal ship communication systems (Self Powered Telephone, Public Address & General Alarm)Knowledge of IPTV systemsWork Location:GenoaWillingness to travel for short/medium periods to clients, shipyards, and other companies belonging to the NexTech Group.
