We are currently reinforcing our Danieli Centro Metallics Team.

Location: Buttrio

Responsibilities Basic and detail design of steel structures for Direct Reduction Plants and Iron Making Plants, in a multi-disciplinary context (Plant Layout, Mechanical, Process, Piping, and Electrical), according to international codes, client specifications, scheduling, and budgetary requirements.

Calculation - Structural Pre-Analysis using FEA and simplified methods.

Development of spreadsheets for structural analysis and checks.

Pre-sizing of steel members and joints.

Follow up of special topics of high-rise process towers.

Project Engineering - development of technical specifications, follow up with External Technical Office developing structural design.

Support during fabrication and erection of steel structures answering technical queries, involvement in discussions with Customers for structural topics.

Responsible for meeting cost and time targets.

Technical Requirements Master Engineering Degree (Civil/Structural) At least 5 years in a similar function or as a designer of steel structures Availability to travel in foreign countries (orientatively 20% travel time) Technical knowledge (Structural mechanics, Design of Steel Structures, Structural Dynamics, Earthquake engineering, Computational mechanics, and structural modeling) Coding skills are a plus Knowledge of Tekla software for the design of steel structures is considered a plus Technical matters (Drawings, Technological) – Good 2D SW - Autocad – Basic SAP2000 – Good Knowledge of Tekla software is considered a plus MS Office - Word, Excel – Good Soft Skills Good capability of analysis and synthesis Enterprise Aptitude for working in a team Flexibility Business Unit With more than 50 years of research and experience in design, construction, commissioning, and operation of iron ore processing and direct reduction plants, Danieli Centro Metallics supplies any type and size of DRI-based minimills.
