Project Engineering Manager
She/He is the Project Engineering Team Leader, co-operating with the Project Engineers on the specific project requirements.
She/He supervises and co-ordinates all the engineering activities, ensuring that the budget is adhered to and that the contract's schedule, as well as the execution activities' schedule, are respected. Responsibilities:To prepare and discuss with the Project Director/Project Manager, the Proposal Manager, the Procurement Manager, the Construction Manager, and the Project Control Manager, helped by the Project Leader and supported by the Head of Department, the project execution strategy (also during the proposal phase) and to guarantee its application during its entire life period. To define and adhere to procedures, guidelines, and technical project standards while coordinating and cooperating with the Project Leaders. To adopt technical solutions that optimize the project's costs in accordance with the contract's technical requirements. To ensure the overall technical co-ordination system among the various engineering development project centers (other group subsidiaries, sub-contractors, partners). To manage, with the help of the Project Leaders and Project Engineers, the man-hours budget of the project's engineering activities. To check and manage project amendments, focusing on minimizing project execution delays and costs. To co-ordinate project design review meetings. To participate in the project's definition schedule, involving the Project Leaders and guaranteeing total congruence and feasibility. To ensure technical support to the various Company Management Departments, both during the proposal phase and during the preparation of necessary project documentation for job subcontracts and orders' suppliers assignments, as well as during job execution phases. To guarantee the technical interface with the customer concerning all project issues that can arise, which can be significant in terms of project timing realization and project costs. To provide feedback to the Head of Department concerning issues and problems arising from adopting procedures and standard work instructions, in order to improve effectiveness and efficiency in the Department. To promote the professional growth of other internal resources in his own Department or other Departments by holding specific training courses when required, in accordance with his own Department's demand. To compare and exchange experiences with colleagues (PEM) among the Group Companies. To remain up to date about the developments and progressions of his own Department.
