**PROJECT ENGINEERING MANAGER

**Job description**:

GDMS-Italy is looking for a Project Engineering Manager to include in our work force, Responsible for the engineering activities and the technical performance of the assigned projects and bids, relevant to Telecommunication and Security systems projects for GDMS-Italy's customers.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Works in close cooperation with the PMO to direct the technical approach with responsibility for the project engineering performance, schedule and budget

- Supports the PMO in preparing project schedules and budget, managing documentation and material deliverables, production, testing, shipment, site construction and commissioning activities

- Main engineering interface with PMO, other departments, Customers and Vendors

- Manages an engineering team, belonging to different engineering departments

- Organizes and perform regular design review meetings, to address any gap or flaw in the system and integration design and ensure that the technical deliverables remain on track and on budget

- Supports contract and specifications change management, involving all stakeholders and providing added value ensuring that the best technical and logistic solutions are pursued at all times to ensure global project success

- Manages sub-contracts with vendors, ensuring proper project requirements flow down and performing regular follow-ups and inspections

**Nice to have**:

- Experience and competence in one or more of the following system engineering macro areas:

- Data Network/Collaboration

- Radio/Radar Systems

- Physical Security Systems (Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion Detection)

- PMI PMP, ITIL v4 certifications

- Cisco CCNA/CCNP or other brand equivalent (Juniper, CheckPoint Avaya, HP Aruba, Fortinet, )

- Fundamental knowledge in TLC/IT principles

- Previous experience in system integration for military, industrial or oil&gas industries

**Education**:A Computer Science, Telecommunication or Electronic Engineering Bachelor Degree (or equivalent).

**Job Location**: The System Engineer will be based in our office in Rome and our production plant in Monterotondo (RM).

**Work Schedule**: Monday-Friday 8 hrs/day - Overtime as necessary.
