Project Leader Engineering
Eurochiller Srl, part of the Atlas Copco Group, is a Leading European designer and manufacturer of customized and standard chillers and thermoregulation units, with a specific focus on plastic applications with a Full-in house design, assembly and testing activities.
The company has two fully-certified production sites located in North of Italy and Slovakia.
Job Description
In this role you are a team member acting as project manager for projects from concept to production.
As project manager you are the end responsible of the projects and also responsible for the technical part of the projects.
You report the overview and status of the projects to the R&D Manager, to whom you'll report to.
Your Most Important Responsibilities Regarding Project Management Are Based on the functional needs you create the project specification.
You define the tasks for the different project team members and you make a total plan for the project and coordinate the activities.
During the project you safeguard the cost of the product, the budget and the timing as agreed in the project follow-up meetings, with the management.
You make sure that the necessary product quality is achieved, this also by safeguard the necessary steps within the project, according the concept to product.
To achieve the targets, you work in a team (non-hierarchical), where you support and motivate the different team members during the entire product development process.
Your Most Important Responsibilities Regarding The Technical Execution Are You make sure that there is a technical cohesia during the design phase.
Maintain good contacts with the other departments for design optimization is essential.
The creation, coordination and analysing of the test program is your responsibility, together with the test engineers, when available.
Analysing of component concepts and functional modules.
You are responsible for the technical file and make sure that the file is consistent and with the latest information.
You use your technical expertise to be part of the team.
You take initiative and cooperate on continuous improvement of the new product development and the engineering process in general.
A project manager wants to deliver on time and has the drive to finalize, in a good matter, the entire project.
Experience Requirements Experience in a design and development environment is a plus.
Experience in project management and how to steer and let people work together is a plus.
Experience with the chiller technology is a plus.
Knowledge Fluent in English.
Good command of Italian.
A good general technical knowledge.
Affinity with Thermodynamics, mechanical design and calculations/simulations.
Knowledge of Matlab & Excel or other calculation tools is a plus.
Good people skills.
Educational Requirements
University degree in Engineering, preferably Master Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering, or equal through experience.
Personality Requirements Can-do mentality.
Strong drive and self-motivated.
Autonomous.
Communicative and result oriented.
Analytical mindset and an eye for accuracy.
You can take decisions in difficult circumstances with keeping an eye on the risks and the responsibilities.
Team player.
