Project Logistics Freight Forwarding
The Project Logistics Operations will be responsible for the daily operational activities within the Project Department.
The individual will also be responsible for increasing productivity while maintaining the highest levels of customer service and accuracy to internal/external customers.
The position must also ensure to operate in compliance with client contracts, company network procedures, prompt billing of all charges and selling of existing clients. Main responsibilities:Responsible for ensuring that the daily activity is in compliance with stated management metrics. Responsible to work with Business Development staff and as a team member with regard to ensuring client satisfaction of services, deep selling of existing clients, and supporting the implementation of new clients as directed by the Project Logistics Manager;Responsible for ensuring processes to meet clients' needs;Responsible for root cause analysis, and undertaking corrective and preventive actions with regard to client service failures;Responsible for attending regular meetings with the Project Team in order to discuss operations issues;May perform other duties or undertake further responsibilities and tasks as required by the company's management;Communicate with all parties involved in the process, i. e.
air/ocean carriers, brokers, warehouses, intermodal, rail operators, customers, and draymen;Troubleshoot all problems - handling irregularities and preventing recurrence;Provide excellent customer service and respond to all inquiries timely;Generate timing and performance reports as necessary;Generate all required import/export documentation; i. e.
: airway bills, bill of lading, HAWB, MAWB, invoices, packing lists, letters of credit when needed;To buy services and quote to customers or network in cooperation with Project Coordinator;Job requirements:Minimum 2 years of Project Team experience or equivalent in the ocean freight division;Experienced in the completion of all required import/export documentation and freight coordination;Knowledge of Out-of-Gauge and Heavy Load Transport methodology is preferentialFamiliar with Incoterms, government agencies, basic laws and regulations for goods handling both import and export;Professional polished both spoken and written communication skills;Basic Windows applications proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel);Good knowledge of the English language (both spoken and written);Proactive approach - Problem solving;Good comprehension of rate structures and import/export regulations;Team player with ability to work with cross-functional teams and all management levels;Ability to work under time pressure;DO WE HAVE TO OFFER?
