Project Manager, Assessment Services (Water
The Role**:
For our headquarter of the Commercial Team Italy in Lainate (MI), we are seeking the Project Manager Assessment Services.
The Project Manager ( Senior Field Engineer, SFE) assumes the entire accountability for delivering both standard and nonstandard, complex, and high-risk assessment services projects from conception to completion.
The SFE will also maintain and foster long-term client relationships by clearly setting and communicating achievable expectations with the client and internal team members.
This position consults with diverse stakeholders and develops and implements strategic plans to mitigate risks, engages appropriate internal and external teams to target and achieve results and prioritizes tasks to overcome risks, constraints, and obstacles.
During the on-site inspection work, the Senior Field Engineer will coordinate our field teams, and sub-contractors and liaise with the client to ensure safe and successful inspections.
As a leader within the delivery team, you will suggest improvements on-field execution processes and procedures to increase success rates, build teams that are trusted, and strengthen client/contractor relations.
**Principal Responsibilities**:
- Manage the entire process of the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple projects of varying complexity simultaneously, enterprise wide for a variety of different clients and business needs
- In charge on site to lead our team to be prepared, professional and safe, communicating directly with client and subcontractors for a successful inspection.
- Accountable for the financial health of projects based on contract terms inclusive of project charter, schedule, budget, accurate forecasting
- Primary point of contact with clients and third-party subcontractors; will enable open lines of communication between client, sub contractors, delivery, and other support groups to ensure successful execution of the project
- Applies industry leading practices to develop complex condition assessment scopes of work in support for business development
- Subject matter expert in characteristics of different pipeline materials, including their failure mode and available rehabilitation methods
- Accountable for reviewing contract terms and implementing change orders as required; will escalate to business development and delivery manager.
- Keep internal and external stakeholders informed of project activities and deliverables, will flag unanticipated risks quickly to ensure appropriate risk mitigation strategies are implemented
- Ensures safe work practices and SOPs are implemented throughout the project life cycle.
- Ensure project deliverables are compliant with all applicable codes and standards, both internally and externally.
- Provide mentorship to other delivery team members
**Minimum Qualifications**:
- Post Secondary education a preferred minimum of **7 years of related work experience**,
- ** Experience in water/energy industry**:
- Ability to read and understand **construction drawings**:
- Ability to analyze contrasting solutions and employ innovative thinking to solve complex problems, successfully managing people and situations
- Is highly influential and persuasive, develops trusted relationships internally and externally
- Strong business acumen, understands project margin drivers, market, and environmental factors
- Experience working directly with customers/clients
- ** Fluent in English and Italian**:
- Manages competing demands, and able to deal with frequent change, delays, and unexpected events
- Proficient in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Proven ability to make decisions that are based on analytics/facts/observations and adhere to standard operating procedures/policies
- Demonstrate a commitment to Safety, Environment, and Quality.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Office: Standard office equipment; work usually performed in an office setting free from any disagreeable elements.
- Onsite: work requires ability to work outdoors in various weather, traffic and environmental conditions
**TRAVEL REQUIREMENT
- ** Required to travel to meet with clients or be present on the worksite between 30% and 50% in Europe
