Mission This role focuses on the project & proposal management of international R&D projects, focused on sustainability and decarbonization of the built environment, smart energy management and climate change adaptation at rural and urban levels.
Key Accountabilities The new resource will be part of the Energy Innovation Strategic Centre team, mainly exposed to R&D projects and innovation activities. They will: Manage EU R&D projects in the field of sustainability, decarbonization, and climate adaptation of the built environment in urban and rural contexts, including the implementation of building energy efficiency measures, smart energy management systems, positive energy districts, and the New European Bauhaus framework.
Develop and manage EU R&D proposals in the same fields listed concerning R&D project management Develop and manage the network of international partners of the EU project.
Scout Funded and Tendered opportunities in the field of Energy efficiency Contribute to RINA's activities of technical development in the framework of EU-funded projects also interacting with international partners Contribute to or deliver reports and results on European research and innovation projects involving energy efficiency, decarbonization, and climate mitigation and adaptation Contribute to the creation of new opportunities and the preparation of new proposals in the framework of European and international R&D programmes Contribute to the growth of RINA's network of R&D partners in the field of energy transition and climate mitigation and adaptation #LI-MT3 Qualifications Degree in Energy/Building engineering or Architecture , with a strong focus on sustainability and energy efficiency of buildings and/or on built environment climate mitigation/adaptation strategies PhD in a relevant field will be considered as a plus At least 3 years of related work experience Fluency in English and Italian Capacity to conduct research, organize work and produce results Education Doctorate/PHD Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT - Promote commitment by keeping promises as a Role Model MANAGE EMOTIONS - Recognise one's and other's emotions and express and regulate one's reactions PIONEER CHANGE - Actively embrace change and benefit from the new circumstances BUILD NETWORK - Forge trust relationships, across departments, and outside the organization MAKE EFFECTIVE DECISIONS - Structure activities according to priorities, actions, resources and constraint ADDRESS THE WAY - Have a big picture of different situations and reinterpret it in a perspective way THINK FORWARD - Capitalise on experiences and translate them into action plans for the future CLIENT INTIMACY - Embrace internal and external client needs, expectations, and requirements to ensure maximum satisfaction EARN TRUST - Take everyone's opinion into account and remain open to diversity With over 5, 600 employees and 200 offices in 70 countries worldwide, RINA is a multinational player which provides certification, marine classification, product testing, site supervision and vendor inspection, training and engineering consultancy services across a wide range of sectors.
