Project Manager (International Projects)

The Project Manager is a key role within ALSTOM.
He/she is in charge of:
- Deliver project to final Customer in respect of Quality Costs Delivery (QCD) commitement
- Organize and manage Core Team for projects
- Manage Design for Quality Review Cycle (DFQ) based on Gate Review (GR) process
- Meet the target on Sales, Cash, Gross Margin and inventory (hard / soft)
- Respect Project EHS KPI
**Main Responsibilities
- Deliver projects according to QCD, Contract and Safety commitments as specified at contract signature & related signed Variation Orders
- Ensure that the project workload needs are well forecasted and anticipated by Project Core Team
- Participate & prepare Monthly Project Review (MPR) of projects under his / her control as per rules defined in MPR instructions
- Define, review & adjust strategies of the project with Projects Director and Customer Director; periodically
- Animate and lead operationally the Project Core Team, defining the project priorities
- Support Customer Director in proposing and negotiating variation orders and claims with customer
- Support Customer Director in getting customer acceptance of the project
- Ensure company Project Management Processes, Methods and Tools are applied on project
- Ensure EHS rules are applied
- As per specific delegation of the Regional Center Projects Director, coordinate a team of Project Managers, making sure their projects are executed as per QCD commitment
**SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
**Necessary
- **Project management** background
- Awareness of **costing and financial**:
- Soft skills to stimulate **efficient team working, **located in different Countries, and to manage a multicultural environment
- Demonstrate excellent **communication skills** and able to guide, influence and convince others in a matrix organization
- Be able to obtain **optimal solutions** by team and stakeholders backed with commitments
- Demonstrate **integrity **and be fully involved in in Alstom Ethics&Compliance Values
- Anticipation and **problem solving**:
- **Sense of urgency** and managing priorities to be compliant during Project execution
- Fluent in** English**:
- **Italian appreciated
**Desirable
- Past experience in Risk, Planning and Stakeholder management
- Knowledge of **railway signalling** products and systems
- **Finance and Legal** sensitivity
- **Contract Management
The position is located at our **italian offices (Bologna, Florence, Rome or Bari)** and will require regular travels (domestic and international missions).
