Project Manager Physical Security Delivery Emea - 12 Month Contract
Description The Project Manager Physical Security Delivery post is a pivotal role within the EMEA physical security team. Vantage is looking for an experienced individual to drive project installation to meet key target dates, ensure quality control against specified design specifications and industry best-practice standards at the project level. Detailed planning and execution management to accommodate a wide stakeholder knowledge base will be necessary. You will be tasked with developing, maintaining & tracking master work project delivery plans including dependent tasks, risk mitigation routines and scope assumption/verification/clarification. You will track the nominated General Construction (GC) company project performance and delivery while providing Vantage Construction teams with the Physical Security SME knowledge and advice performance against established schedules & project plans, identify early risks to ensure delivery of projects to ensure each project is delivered to specification, time and quality.
Your responsibility will include ensuring that project best practices are implemented in a feedback loop to enable compliance to defined scope, project quality, risk tolerances, budget, schedule definition, clear communications, and greater project performance predictability. Your work product will be based in solid key stakeholder engagement with robust written and verbal communication skills. You will need to have considerable management and leadership experience delivering large-scale security systems including perimeter fence, gates (vehicle & pedestrian) CCTV, Access Control to time, quality and cost. You will be responsible for updating Director Physical Security Delivery on all project data for each Vantage construction project in your remit in the Frankfurt and Berlin areas.
Essential Job Functions Maintaining project level organizational process assets and level risk management Manage day-to-day work on projects in construction phases with construction programme managers & contractors; coordinate and make recommendations regarding status of work Provide governance and compliance management with defined department work breakdown structure Perform quality control and continuous improvement for project process Manage procedural department tasks, milestones, and activities Create and maintain forms, templates, logs, and file repository system and lead change control Audit defined process flow, refine, and improve to eliminate waste; create new processes as needed Develop a network of sources and contacts to support the development of useful information and context on issues that may impact the project's interests. Understand business goals and recommend new approaches, technology, client specifications, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity, and development within the organization. Duties Oversight, administration, and modification of the project management reporting tools for all Vantage construction security projects Oversee project planning and management Communicate successfully within the project team and with security leadership Develop and guide deployment plans and communication with direct stakeholders Examine risks associated with programmes and prioritize risks accordingly Establish and implement compliance with developed policies and procedures, documenting change metrics and roll out including training to internal and external teams Drive continuous improvement for departmental workflow and system performance Collaborate closely between project management and operations/PMO for project closeout turnover documentation Ensure monthly project status and financial report is issued and in compliance with requirements Lead approval gating process and feedback between project managers and internal stakeholders Structure and facilitate major project workshops to document project scope, verify and align project assumptions and lessons learned and provide feedback loop for specification modification/updates Project communications (updates, scorecards, escalations) and project stakeholder alignment Integrated planning to coordinate cross-project activities and objectives Additional duties as assigned from time to time by management Provides technical support to end users and field labor when applicable. Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required. Job Requirements Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Engineering, a similar field, or equivalent experience 4 years experience in large-scale physical security system installation project management or equivalent managerial positions required Construction industry experience is essential Industry recognized project management (APM, Agile, PRINCE2 etc or equivalent) qualification is preferred 5+ years of experience with Access Control Systems (ACS), Video Surveillance System (VSS) required In-depth, hands-on expertise with all low-voltage security technologies (CCTV, access control, IP networking and structured cabling Experience designing security systems for new buildings or facilities, to include placement of access control systems, cameras, and call buttons Demonstrable understanding of project/programme management techniques and methods Strong Microsoft Excel skills required Ability to distill large datasets into a succinct presentation, summarize date through pivot tables, etc. Excellent knowledge of project performance evaluation and change management principles Excellent written and verbal communication skills with clear and timely communication Expected travel is 35% but may be higher during construction projects. May grow and evolve over time Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft desktop and server operating systems, as well as Microsoft Office 365 Fluent in English (verbal and written) Must have valid work permit for the region We operate with No Ego and No Arrogance.
