Project Manager - Product Design - Italy
Project Manager with experience in both Product Design and Project Management required to work at Corin, a global orthopaedic medical device company!
**Please note this is one role which can be based either in Belgium, Cirencester (UK head office), Italy or Germany.
**_Corin is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Project Manager with product design, engineering and project management experience to join our Global Implant and Instrument Research and Development team.
This is an opportunity for a Senior Design Engineer, Design Manager or Project Manager with technical background and keen interest in innovation and technology applied to the medical field, to rise up to the next step in their career and join Corin during a period of rapid expansion and renewed focus on implantable devices and related instrumentation. _
**_ This function will be pivotal to the success of Corin and will be responsible for delivery high impact contribution to the business objectives by leading multifunctional teams to complete New Product Introduction for novel implantable Class III and Reusable Class Ir and IIa medical devices projects, starting from concept up until market launch.
Thanks to your technical and managerial skillset, you will be driving the assigned projects to completion, shaping to the technical aspects including design and development of the new product lines to meet Corin customers' requirement, while ensuring the project on track and ensuring performance against agreed plans are adhered to. _

Corin has two major flagship products that form a major part of the wider CorinConnect ecosystem.
Our OMNIBotics system utilizes intelligent robotic instrumentation to give surgeons the ability to perform patient-specific procedures with high accuracy, with more consistent results, and improved recovery rates.
Our OPSInsight preoperative planning system utilizes advanced computational modeling to understand patient specific movement for planning the position of implants, optimizing functional implant alignment, and improving outcomes.
**The key responsibilities for the Project Manager are to;
- Liaise with customers to generate the right project scope, goals and deliverables in accordance with design control procedures.
- Create and deliver detailed project work plans for how to deliver each stage of the project and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Manage and co-ordinate project resource allocation.
- Identify project risks and problem solve to avoid or provide contingency plans
- Work closely with all relevant stake holders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the project(s).
- Ensure product quality and Company standards are met.
- Co-ordinate design reviews to ensure product is designed and engineered to specification
- Manage Stage Gate process by coordinating internal stakeholders i. e.
marketing, finance, product development, manufacturing and regulatory functions.
- Ensure delivery of final product on time and on budget, and according to customer/marketing requirements for performance and quality via coordination of the departmental functions.
- Track project deliverables using appropriate tools.
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the project(s) through project teams.
- Provide direction and support to project teams.
- Co-ordinate clients and suppliers on outsourced manufacturing processes, goods and services as required for the key projects.
- Report to Design Manager on project plans and timescales and make appropriate recommendations.
- Submit project status reports to all stakeholders; anticipates and reacts to change
- Carry out work in a safe, efficient and diligent manner and comply with health and safety policies and procedures.
- Adhere to Corin's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
- Adhere to the quality management system (Q-Pulse) and Quality Standards (IS013285 QMS and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) FDA21 C
**Requirements**:
**The ideal Engineering Project Manager will have/be;
- Good understanding in biomechanics and clinical issues which may affect safety of performance of medical devices.
- Certificated Project Manager or prove equivalent experience via successful project management track record.
- Extensive experience of leading design teams and coordinating cross functional work.
- Expert knowledge of the engineering associated with hip/knee orthopaedic or other medical devices.
