For an international group in the field of **medical devices**, specialised in additive manufacturing technologies, we are looking for a** R&D Project Manager.

The person will be responsible of project development and cross-functional department interaction within the R&D Team, and will report to R&D Manager.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Manage the research activities relating to one or more projects, ensuring their safety compliance with agreed objectives, in terms of timing, costs and quality.

- Collaborate with an R&D and/or cross-functional team.

- Support the definition and resources' prioritization and project budget management.

- Keep R&D Manager constantly updated, especially in case of deviations or delays in the projects.

- Take care of bringing the developed processes into production, drawing up specific operating procedures, training production staff, collaborating with Quality for process validations and definition of specifications.

- Present ideas and activities for new projects, constantly monitoring technological innovations on the market, also dealing with Sales, Marketing, Quality and Technical Dpt.

- Manage the operational aspects of projects from inception through implementation.

- Collaborate in cross-functional teams and serve as liaison between project management and planning in project teams.

- Review projects status and budget, manages schedules and prepare status reports.

- Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet timeline, productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

- Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress, intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

**Day by day activities**:

- Once the Project is assigned, will serve as main point of contact to execute the evaluation of the technology, project idea, feasibility analysis, etc.

This will include draw a step-by-step plan, including R&D activities and prototype pilot production.

- Technical evaluation interacting with internal and external labs to evaluate, plan and execute various kind of characterization test including mechanical, chemical, biological, among others.

- Prepare a detailed project plan to schedule key project milestones, workstreams & activities.

Managing the delivery of projects according to this plan.

- Track projects and providing regular reports to key stakeholders.

- Manage and adjusts any changes in project scope and/or schedule.

- Identify and mitigates potential risks.

- Present periodic update to R&D Manager, Global Technology Director and other senior management.

- Help formulate process flow and necessary Quality Control steps that would ensure most efficient production flow.

- Collaborate with other R&D project managers and support departments to ensure smooth integration of projects and with production and technical and Quality dept.

- DoE and Validations as needed.

- Intercompany coordination of parts test.

- Ensure communication between project members and information consistency.

- Verify prototype design for the early stages of testing operation, difficulty, critical issues, certification of materials, release of prototypes covered by the project itself.

- Work with Technical Service and Business Development to assist the Sales team to develop new opportunities and product offerings.

- Prepare presentations for event/seminars to promote projects and results.

**Requirements and Skills**:

- Excellent knowledge of the **English language**:

- **Degree in Material Science, Chemistry or Physics are preferrable**:

- **1-2 years' experience of working experience in R&D is a plus
