Support us in our mission We are seeking a full-time Project/New Business Development Manager to strengthen our solar project development initiatives in Italy.

The successful candidate will become a key member of our Project Development Department, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to drive the full lifecycle of PV and BESS projects across Italy Project/New Business Development Manager – Solar & BESS Projects (m/f/d) Job Responsibilities Lead and manage the development activities of greenfield and brownfield utility-scale solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects in Italy, ensuring timely progression and successful completion.

Source, evaluate, and secure new land opportunities for project development, leveraging existing networks or establishing new relationships.

Oversee and review comprehensive project feasibility studies, including grid connection assessments and environmental constraints analysis.

Develop, implement, and manage permitting and authorization strategies, ensuring compliance with national and regional regulations.

Negotiate with a diverse range of stakeholders, including local authorities, grid operators, landowners, project developers, and service providers, to ensure alignment and project success.

Organize and coordinate project development cooperations and partnerships.

Select, engage, and manage external consultants and service providers, ensuring project objectives are met.

Support Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) activities with technical input and development support.

Prepare and present detailed project development plans, budgets, and decision papers for senior management.

Provide regular reports to management in Hamburg, detailing project progress, technical evaluations, and key performance metrics.

Your Profile A Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Environmental, Mechanical/Energy Engineering, Renewable Energy, Geology, or a related discipline.

A minimum of three years of experience in a similar role within a renewable energy company, IPP, project developer, utility, EPC, or investor.

Comprehensive knowledge of the Italian permitting processes and regulations related to renewable energy and grid connections.

Experience with PV design software and GIS Tools Strong ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Analytical mindset with a structured approach to problem-solving, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to engage and influence external project stakeholders.

Fluent in both Italian and English, with proficiency in both written and spoken communication.

Experience with BESS and hybrid renewable energy systems is highly desirable.
