HHLA PLT Italy is a multipurpose maritime terminal started in 2021, located in the middle of the fast-growing North Adriatic market.

Here, the Expansion Project Team, carried out by the company Logistica Giuliana, is planning and executing a game changer phased project aiming to integrate the current facility into a fully automated state-of-the-art container terminal, making use of the most advanced technologies and expertise.

As part of our Expansion Project (Logistica Giuliana), The Project Planner & Controller Lead supports the Project Management with accurate budget control and project planning, developing the critical path and highlighting dependencies.

They also ensure that weekly and monthly reporting of the project controls (timeline, budget, resources and deliverables) is implemented, including advice on possible improvements or recoveries.

The Project Planner & Controller Lead is a pro-active communicator and collaborator across the project team gathering and sharing information.

Lastly, they coordinate the Project Planning & Controls department, monitoring the performance of team members, providing constructive feedback, and guidance to ensure quality and productivity.

What you can expect

- Create an overall project planning (business & asset incl.

permits & licenses and interface projects) and update the planning on regular basis

- Critical path analysis with clear dependencies

- Implement tools & procedures for budget control including forecasting

- Assign and prioritize tasks for team members, ensuring efficient distribution of workload to meet project deadlines

- Setup and progress clear weekly and monthly reporting with input from other team members

- Manage sub

- or special projects

- Confirm and check deliverables of sub

- or special projects

- Pro-actively engage with and obtain information from project stakeholders

- Maintain and regularly update the project risk register

- Support where required the Project Management

- Champion Safety: Complying with all safety rules and fostering a safety culture within the team.

- Support the department and business unit proactively by being willing to learn and contribute wherever needed.

- Act with integrity and accountability by ensuring all actions are in alignment with compliance guidelines.

What you bring to the table

- English level C1 (Italian and German are a plus).

- Experience (5+ year(s)) in (project) planning (incl.

critical paths, resources, etc. )

preferably in P6 or equivalent alternative

- Experience (5+ year(s)) in projects/developments>€50 million

- Thorough understanding of project planning systems (P6/others)

- Understanding of risk and risk measurement & reporting

- Broad understanding of project management methodologies, including project controls

- Self-starter with the ability to set-up processes & procedures

- Good communicator and able to visualize complex project planning

- Process & logic driven mentality, deep understanding of methodology

- Degree in Business/Engineering or related (PMP is a plus)

- Experience of successfully engaging and communicating with internal and external stakeholders in a multi-cultural and international environment
