**A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Project Procurement Manager you will integrate Procurement in the project management process and project business teams at an early stage.
You will coordinate, control and supervise all procurement activities in a project and introducing procurement strategies targeting maximum contribution to the operating result and guaranteeing the observance of the procurement processes described and optimizing deployment of resources.
As a Commodity Manager you will develop and define the sourcing strategy for the local commodity with clear strategic sourcing preferences that offer competitive, robust, and resilient supplier options that are "future proof" for long term supply.
You will share and communicate the strategy with operational sourcing teams globally and steer the sourcing activities in the strategic direction.
You will identify the other key players needed to support the commodity and form commodity circles or multidisciplinary peer groups that will implement and continuously develop the strategy and take the lead on negotiating major supply agreements and contracts using their market knowledge to demonstrate the best value for the business.
**How You'll Make an Impact
- Defining procurement strategies on the project on the basis of Division-wide and Group-wide procurement strategies and ensuring their implementation, as well as identifying solution approaches and integrating diverse objectives to achieve the project targets.
- Establishing proper sourcing processes and controlling all procurement resources and activities and informing all involved in procurement to deliver optimum impact of cost-cutting potential (procurement plan, target-costing) and to meet requirements relating to deadlines and quality.
- Analyzing scope of supply and customer contract agreements, carrying out risk analyses and introducing negotiation recommendations to prepare for negotiations with suppliers (back-to-back where appropriate) and to initiate appropriate measures.
- Analyze demand, markets and suppliers to create a basis for deciding on the optimum sourcing strategy, in coordination with the relevant Commodity Managers.
- Coordinate the efforts and activity of Procurement personnel, to maximize the results keeping the required project timeframe.
- Create the proactive link between procurement, project management and suppliers.
- Provide a cross-functional approach to all procurement activities to minimize risks and optimize Project results, in coordination with the project Manager.
- Prepare reports on the progress of procurement activities in the project, keeping all involved parties informed.
- Actively participate to planning and project review meetings, contributing to the correct information flow.
**What You Bring
- Bachelor or master's degree in engineer, preferably in mechanical or electrical
- A minimum of 5 years of applicable experience in similar role
- Proficient knowledge of English and Italian
- Proven SAP system knowledge as a user of "Buy" module is required
- Experience in handling and negotiating with local suppliers for different commodities
- Advanced analytical skills to handle, transform, understand and use large data volumes
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, collaboration and influencing techniques, result-orientation and strategic-innovative thinking required
- Strong intercultural sensitivity and outstanding interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Experience facilitating or participating in continuous process improvement projects
- Strong team player, with a can-do attitude and problem-resolution focus
- Experience and knowledge of HW products and HW system will be considered a nice to have skills
