Job Summary
The Product/Project engineer will be responsible for researching new technology and concepts, developing new products, making design changes, and optimizing existing products within the Robuschi portfolio range, focusing on lobes and screw blowers.
The goal is to develop solutions that meet customer requirements, especially for mixed gas applications where reliability and quality are considered important parameters.
This role requires a deep understanding of rotative machines, technical expertise, and the ability to work with cross-functional, multi-location, and multi-cultural teams to ensure projects are accomplished to a high quality, adhering to standards.

Typical Job Accountabilities Product DevelopmentCoordinate with the Engineering Supervisor, Product Management, and CTO team on the innovation and new product development direction within the selected key markets, supported by competitor analysis, market analysis, and application information to identify short-, medium-, and long-term business opportunities. Define and validate correct design concepts and fundamental technology used for new products or improvements for existing ones. Laboratory: Lead the laboratory team in activities related to new products designed for testing and verification of the new adopted solutions and changes, and report results to the engineering team. Processes: Prepare technical documents/specifications to be applied to international regulations for the design and dimensioning of equipment (CE/Machine directive, PED, ATEX), including risk assessment and technical dossier. Develop, determine, and implement policies, procedures, and programs relating to the engineering function. Manufacturing: Work with manufacturing, operations, and quality managers to review and monitor quality and process improvements and new product development. Drive continuous efforts to resolve all mechanical quality, warranty, and field problems expeditiously after product launch.
Support activities and quality processes from a technical perspective. Travel to pilot/beta tests, customer and supplier sites, both local and international when required to gain insight into customer applications, audit suppliers, and provide technical support for sales and service. Training: Contribute to knowledge sharing within the ENG team through training sessions. Workplace: Parma.
Education And Experience Sound educational background in Mechanical Engineering and/or technical fields.
A degree or equivalent education is beneficial. Experience in Engineering or relevant experience within the Vacuum, Blower, or Compressor industries. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, autonomous, diverse, and evolving work environment. Critical Outputs And Achievement Required In-depth knowledge and understanding of rotating machinery and technologies, product development. Operate with a sense of ownership, urgency, and leadership. Competency Framework Excellent leadership skills with demonstrated ability to effectively operate in a diverse team and facilitate effective cross-cultural business interaction. High level of technical awareness, especially in rotating equipment. Good knowledge of international regulations for the design and dimensioning of equipment (Machine directive, Pressure equipment directive, Atex directive). Good technical skills in mathematical modeling of mechanical and thermodynamic systems, FEA/CFD analysis, mechanical drawings, data analysis, and reports. Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to negotiate, influence, and work well as part of a team. Strong drive for results and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines & achieve targets. Highly self-motivated and flexible. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
