We are now looking for a Project Support Specialist to join our team working for a better future. The position is permanent and the preferred location is in Vigo (Spain), but also Hamburg (DEU50), Helsinki (FIN), Vaasa (FIN), Leicester (GBR), Trieste (ITA), Drunen (NLD) are possible locations. As Project Support Specialist, your work will focus on these responsibilities: Development of Project Management Methods and PMO Maturity: Define, update, and maintain project management resources (processes, tools, and templates) to enhance project management maturity. Create and manage structured knowledge repositories (e. g. , lessons learned, risks) for continuous improvement. Ensure consistent and standardized project management practices across all PM offices within SLS. Transversal Support and Backup for Project Managers: Support Project Managers in daily operations, including information management, project tracking, and risk management. Provide backup to Project Managers, ensuring continuity and success in project execution. Collaboration for Solution Development with Other Departments: Develop, improve, and maintain tools and solutions (e. g. , SAP-related) for various project management needs, including but not limited to cost control and project tracking. Identify opportunities for synergy with other Wärtsilä project management teams to align methodologies and share best practices. To be successful in this role, we expect you to have: 5 years of experience in Project Management, preferably with a PMP certification or similar. Industry experience, with a background in an industrial company. Understanding of finance and project cost control principles. High proficiency in IT tools, including MS Office. Experience with project management tools such as MS Project, JIRA, or similar. Knowledge of business processes, with a preference for experience in certifications (such as ISO9001) or participation in audit processes. High-level business English proficiency, as most of the work is conducted in English. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively in a team and independently. Multicultural sensitivity, with the ability to build relationships and lead multi-cultural teams. Strategic forward thinker with a positive mindset and proactive way of working. Problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude. In this role, some travel is required. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 20%, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
