Our client is one of the major General Contractors in Europe with more than 1B€ turnover.

Leading player in the turn-key projects, from design to construction in the infrastructure and buildings sector.

It offers solutions from financial planning, land evaluation, design, and construction within the industrial, logistics, and data center sector. To boost the Data Center Business Unit, we are looking for a Projects Director who will report to the Technical Director and will be responsible for the delivery of the projects, from the pre-design up to construction, and for the profitability of the operations in line with contractual agreements and the objectives of the firm.

A real team leader, he/she has a privileged function of maintaining customer relationships and managing a team composed of (Senior) Project Managers. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES:Provides technical support to business development teams during prospecting activities. Meets clients with the business development team to understand their needs and the specificities of their project. Proposes technical and cost-effective solutions adapted to the customer's needs. Prepares and optimizes the design of the building and its technical solutions. Estimates the design's costs and prepares a preliminary time schedule. Launches the preparation of all necessary documents for feasibility studies, including verification of all bills of quantities. Defines the offer and manages finalizing and briefing with the business development teams and the Design & Estimating department. Acts as the principal point of contact for the customer and the company's representative for the duration of the project. Contract:Takes part in contract approval with the business development team and in coordination with the legal and finance departments. As the contract director, approves all contract details. Prepares all technical and administrative documents (bonds, insurance certificates, etc.

). Construction:Builds the project team ensuring that team members have the skills needed to fully complete the project. Leads the project team (design office, technical inspection consultants, sub-contractors, Health & Safety coordinator, etc.

). Guarantees the realization of the project in accordance with contractual agreements. Monitors the realization of the different work progress (customer relations, schedule adjustments, etc.

). Produces the technical summary of the different building trades' interventions. Cost and Construction Schedule Management:Takes charge of the financial study of the project at the commercial stage to ensure a level of gross profit margin and net profit margin consistent with objectives. Participates in the contract committees with management. Is co-responsible for the sale-purchase contract by setting the project's cost price and elaborating the sales price with the business development team. Signs the sale-purchase paper with the Business Development representative and the Design & Estimating representative. Team Management:In coordination with the Country Manager or the Technical Director, the Project Director takes charge of all or part of the team management of the Project Assistants and/or (Senior) Project Managers entrusted to him. QUALIFICATIONSMaster's degree in civil engineering and urbanism or similar.

Experience of 5 to 10 years in the construction area on private markets (TKP or EPCM contract depending on the assignment to a BU).
