Property Risk Engineer

Pirelli is looking for a qualified/experienced Property Risk Engineer to join its reinsurance team.
After an initial training period in our HQ in Milan (6-12 months), the resource will have the opportunity to join the reinsurance team based in Basel (Switzerland). Key AccountabilitiesConducting onsite visits to assess property loss control and Nat Cat exposures in the Pirelli factoriesDevelop detailed reports to relay conditions and provide recommendations for improvementAnalyze building construction, fire protection features, process operations and special hazardsBuilding relationship with key insurance/reinsurance carriersEvaluate Captive risk line/portfolio exposure and risk optimization instrumentsHandle claimsSkills CompetenciesMaster's degree in engineering (preferred mechanical or electrical)2-3 years of experience in Risk ConsultingStrong working knowledge of fire protection and of insurance issuesKnowledge of FM Global or NFPA standardsKnowledge about mechanical and electrical equipment (mainly, boilers, compressors, gearboxes, electric motors, switchgears, transformers)Knowledge of maintenance of electrical equipment (NDT, infrared scanning, vibration monitoring)Ability to consult effectively on a broad range of tire manufacturing risk controls, and the ability to identify exposures/assess complex risksGood knowledge of excelStrong verbal and written communication skills in Italian and EnglishWillingness to learn, Strong interpersonal relationship skills and ability to work in a team #J-18808-Ljbffr
