Job Summary The Sales Engineer will foster sales opportunities by applying engineering expertise to transform business needs into technical requirements. Acting as the technical key person in the Sales Engineering and Proposals team, the Sales Engineer will organize the proposal preparation process, coordinate support from specialists, and generate technical/economic offers with the required annexes. Building trusted relationships with customers is essential to engage them in sales or projects. Responsibilities and Duties Understand operational requirements from customer documentation or interviews and establish agreement on product functionality. Provide specialized advice to customers to analyze and detail operational requirements for system functional requirements. Map system functional requirements into system characteristics and architecture to select suitable product configurations. Complement system requirements with program and project requirements according to customer scope, deadlines, and applicable regulations. Involve Design and Product Engineering for in-depth analysis of technical requirements and evaluation of gaps between existing products and target solutions. Perform technical presentations for offered products or solutions, harmonizing information from customers and internal functions. Finalize Sales Engineering steps into the preparation of technical and commercial proposals with appropriate documentation annexes. Follow up on proposal evaluations by customers, manage updates, and negotiate contracts. Provide expected revenues and margins for proposal NRE (Non-Recurring Engineering) and RE (Recurring Engineering) items to the Finance function. Deliver technical and economic proposal packages to Business Development for evaluation and approval. Receive feedback from Engineering and Product Engineering on technical proposal preparation and compliance matrix support. Support Product Line Managers in promoting product line strategy. Receive BoM (Bill of Material) cost estimates from Procurement for pricing definitions. Collaborate with Project Controllers and Production Planning to define proposed program schedules and delivery dates. Assist Program Management in transitioning from proposal phase to program execution phase. Receive feedback from Quality on customer quality requirements and effort estimates for quality involvement. During initial training, support the Sales Engineering and Proposal function with contract management and delivery monitoring. Monitor customer web portals for new requests for proposals/quotations and relevant communications. Support annual business plan issuance and manage related spreadsheets. Report weekly to Finance and Business Development regarding revenues, acquisitions, and proposal statuses. Act as the internal point of contact for Overhaul & Repair function activities. Qualifications and Skills Degree in Electronic, Mechanical, Electrical, Optoelectronic, Aerospace Engineering, or Physics. 5-10 years of experience in design and development, manufacturing engineering, or technical sales. Proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Systems Engineering and Program Management methodology, preferably in Aerospace and Defense. Experience with embedded systems design and development is a plus. Strong organizational skills to maintain proposal documentation and communications. Ability to build trust with customers and demonstrate loyalty in service activities. Professional ethics and collaborative work skills in multidisciplinary teams. Commitment to meeting bid deadlines and resilience during proposal submission. Proficient in MS Office and MS Project. J-18808-Ljbffr
