Proposal Installation Engineer - Submarine EUR 50. 000 - 70. 000 Posted on: Offerta pubblicata ieri Job Requisition ID: R-21790 Accountability: The Installation Proposal Engineer contributes mainly at the tender stage of Power Cable Systems projects and marginally during project construction. THE ROLE At the tender stage, the main activities include: Knowledge of the cable market in terms of Customers, Competitors, and Subcontractors Careful examination of the tender documentation, particularly the technical specifications Examination of the survey data of the installation provided by the Customer Elaboration of a technical solution in accordance with the above requisites Internal discussions within Installation Engineering and other Departments on the chosen solution Participation in clarifications meetings both internal and with the Customer during tender preparation Site visits, if necessary, to understand logistic aspects of the job and check feasibility of solutions Preparation and issuing of technical specifications (RFQ) for potential subcontractors Examination, in collaboration with purchasing dept. , of received proposals from potential subcontractors Discussions with Subcontractors to clarify offers and align them with Prysmian/Customer requirements Fine-tuning of the final solution in agreement with relevant Departments such as System Design Engineering, Sales, Purchasing, Logistic, legal, HSE, Quality, Project Management Elaboration of Installation Costs and assessment of risks associated with installation activities Preparation of the Technical Description of the Work and relevant documentation requested by the Customer Assembly and preparation of the Plan of Work regarding installation activities Participation in negotiations and clarification meetings with the Customer after proposal presentation Revisions of the tender package as necessary due to negotiations or changes in Customer requests Compliance with internal rules and procedures during the entire process At the contractual stage, the main activities include: Participation in internal Kick Off Meetings Transmittal to the project team and Departments involved in project execution of relevant information such as: Costs Qualifications and assumptions Technical documentation Other relevant information Participation in internal clarification meetings with relevant departments Technical Assistance when required, especially during the period between Contract Signature and execution phase Participation in meetings with the Customer and/or Subcontractors during the initial phase Involvement during project stages to assess potential changes since the tender stage BASIC REQUIREMENTS Degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines Fluent in English, written and spoken Curious and eager to learn and improve autonomy Precise, proactive, problem-solving, and target-oriented Capacity to understand and conceptualize complexity into concise frameworks Pragmatic, flexible, and capable of managing changes during the work Good relationship approach and team working capability Knowledge of common software like Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, AutoCAD Availability for short but possibly frequent trips, domestic and abroad POSSIBLE ADDED-VALUE REQUIREMENTS Experience in a similar role and area Knowledge of/experience in submarine cable installation from operative or engineering roles Experience in proposal engineering activities such as costing, planning, and technical proposal preparation Prysmian, as an Equal Opportunity Employer, aims to attract and recruit individuals with diverse backgrounds, skills, and abilities.
