The analyst is called to define the purchasing benchmark (Should Cost) considering the material costs of different regions (EU, Fareast, Middle East, USA) based on the procurement strategy applied on the EP/EPC projects. Key activities & responsibilitiesThe Proposal Junior Engineer, reporting to the Should Cost Group Director, is called to perform the following activities for one of the aforementioned categories, according to the experience and background:Prepare the report of the analysis to be shared with the internal departments and projects involved. Define the cost estimation models for one of the aforementioned categories, following the "Bottom Up" approach. Participate to identify the cost parameters and organize a database for parametric evaluation of material costs based on previous purchasing. Prepare the Should Cost analysis of one of the aforementioned categories, defining the benchmark for purchasing as per the current market price conditions. Maintain relationships with vendors and sub-vendors for updating the costs' database following the Group's procedures. Assist and support the purchasing department, when required, during negotiations with the vendors. Analyze discrepancies between the S. C. analysis result and market feedback and propose corrective actions to improve internal cost models. Personal AttributesPreferably first level degree in technical/Engineering discipline. Good command of Microsoft Office packages and in particular with Excel. Strong interpersonal, team-oriented skills, self-motivation, and direction, with a strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution. Availability to travel for short and long periods in Italy and abroad.
