We are looking for a **Proposal Manager for Protection Relays and Electrical Automation products, **committed to bid preparation and submission in the Electrification & Automation Business Unit (Products Business), to be hired with a permanent contract in Milan within the **Smart Infrastructure **area.

**Your Challenge**:

As **Proposal Manager for Protection Relays and Electrical Automation products** your mission will be to handle the whole bid phase, focusing on technical and economical stage, ensuring that products and systems offer is prepared on time and according to the Customer and Company's requirements, also ensuring the technical integrity of the offer including the compliance with the technical scope and project specification.

You will work closely with the Sales department to ensure the order awarding and with project execution team to ensure an accurate handover.

**Some of the main activities will be**:

- Bid and Proposal activities related to customer's requests for quotation (technical and economical content)

- Use specific software tools to configure Protection Relays and Electrical Automation products

- Prepare final proposal for submittal to customer, including any documentation such as technical data sheets, bids forms, commercial forms, legal forms, bid bonds, etc.

- Coordinate proposal submittal with sales team.

Track bid results and participate in negotiations and bid modifications if necessary.

Collaborate with colleagues of Business Unit to share market data updates

- Register bid results in Offers & Orders database.

Compile statistics on bid performance, hit rate and market penetration.

Prepare reports on proposals as required

- Receive orders from customers and prepare order entry information to transfer to project management and contract administration team.

Participate in internal and/or external kickoff meetings as required to facilitate the smooth transfer of orders

- Meet commercial policies of Siemens Electrification and Automation, including cost/price determination, profit requirements, understanding cash flow, understanding contractual terms and conditions, as they relate to Siemens' policy, as well as Compliance requirements

- Create relationships with factories

**To be a perfect fit for this role, you would already have**:

- Education background: Bachelor's / Three Years Master's Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Automation or Technical High School Diploma

- Passionate and prepared to handle technological innovation in Industry 4. 0 and digitalization topics

- Customer Focus: ability to anticipate and understand customers' needs, be responsive and keep commitments

- Detail orientation with a strong focus on time and task management, capable of handling many orders and tasks in parallel

- Passion to never-stop growing

- Respect and appreciation of each person's uniqueness, willingness to co create and share knowledge

- Proficiency in English and Italian

- Eligibility to work in Italy
