Job Summary:

The Protestant Music Director will oversee the music program for Protestant services at Aviano Air Base, leading worship, selecting music, and working with praise teams and chaplains to enhance the spiritual experience.

Key Responsibilities: Lead and direct music for one (1) Protestant worship service per week (Sunday morning). Provide one (1) rehearsal per week and additional rehearsals as needed. Select and arrange music in coordination with the Protestant Chaplain. Recruit, train, and lead praise teams, musicians, and choirs. Provide music for special services and events as required. Ensure all music aligns with Protestant worship traditions and chaplain approval. Maintain professional conduct and comply with base regulations. Schedule: Sunday: Morning service + pre-service setup. One weekday rehearsal (scheduled with worship team). Additional services for holidays & special events as needed. Qualifications: Minimum two (2) years of experience in church music leadership. Ability to play and lead music for contemporary and traditional Protestant worship. Strong vocal leadership skills. Familiarity with Christian worship styles and liturgical music. Ability to work collaboratively with chaplains and volunteers. Must pass a background check and security clearance.
