PROTESTANT RELIGIOUS EDUCATION COORDINATORQualifications The contractor must have and, on request, provide proof of the following:Show a creative vision for short- and long-term growth and development of the RE program. Submit a one paragraph summary for vision, growth and development of the RE program. Demonstrate enthusiasm for RE ministry. Submit two letters of reference demonstrating enthusiasm for RE ministry. Provide evidence of appropriate professional competence by providing evidence of academic certification and/or work experience. A baccalaureate or higher degree in education & 5 years experience (teaching, RE Director, etc…)OR - five years' experience coordinating or directing a Religious Education (RE) program for 60 or more students, in either a military chapel or a civilian church setting, within the past 5 years. The Protestant Chaplain or designee will provide technical review of the level of professional competence. Furnish a resume including academic and work-related references.

References should be of recent employment (past 5 years). Please provide certificates of completion in the use of computers and associated software common to the USAF Standard Desktop Configuration (Microsoft Office Products, USAF Form Viewer). Provide all information necessary for a criminal history background check and be approved in accordance with the DoDI. Satisfactorily complete all required checks within a month of contract start date.

Background checks are completed at government expense. Possess an ability to maintain healthy, functional interpersonal relationships with coworkers and customers.

Submit one letter of reference to show these attributes. Contractor will possess these skills:Interpersonal - must possess the ability to constructively work with chapel staff, parish staff, parishioners, and the public in an interfaith arena. Professional - must be an efficient manager and able to coordinate activities and facilitate communication between volunteers and program leaders. Communication - must be able to communicate desires, needs, and instructions clearly, both verbally and in writing.

Must communicate well with both adults and children in the program. Have a willingness to work in and be fully conversant with the pluralistic environment of the Chaplain Corps.

Have an ability to work unsupervised in a fluid and sometimes-stressful environment with staff, and volunteers.

Must have a minimum of 1 year (12 months) left on station.
