Join us in our **External Affairs **team and you will support the External Affairs team - directly reporting to the Manager Public Policy & Sustainability - in the deployment of the strategy in line with Company's global transformation and vision and in the engagement activity with business associations, think tanks and other relevant third parties. You will support Public Policy activities through research and analysis on key business issues and policy documents drafts in order to support company's global transformation strategy and you will coordinate directly with internal/external parties to support business-related processes.

**Specific responsibilities include**:

- Support the team in defining and implementing the overall Public Policy & Sustainability strategy and action plan in Italy, with focus on the regulatory framework evolution at national, European and international level;

- Support External Affairs team in Public Policy activities, developing networking opportunities, maintaining and enhancing external relationship with relevant third parties (such as Research Centers, Think Tanks, Universities, ) for the implementation of the global/EU strategy at national and local level in coordination with PM IT EA function and PMI EA teams in Brussels and Lausanne office;

- Monitor and analyze the main political and regulatory trends relevant for our business, identifying opportunities and threats, with a particular focus on policy debate, industry-related dossiers also re. innovation, sustainability, digitalization issues; coordinate the activities of consultants and suppliers;

- Support the team in the preparation of materials and analysis (e. g. notes, speeches, policy and industry studies, presentations) for external engagement and company's attendance to public events and on the evolution of the industry regulatory framework and overall national scenario;

- Support the organization of public events and conferences with high institutional profiles, business and national value chain representatives;

- Support PM Italy participation in Company' associations and think tank related to business and institutional issues providing expertise, interacting with third parties contributing to secure PM Italy positioning.

- Liaise with other internal functions and teams to ensure cross-functional alignment in the execution of the external affairs and overall company strategy; Assist in the preparation of internal documents to keep External Affairs management and the senior management team informed about policy changes.

**Who we're looking for**:

- Graduation in Economics, Law, Political science or related fields

- Proven experience of at least 3 years in External Affairs, advocacy or Government/Regulatory affairs roles

- Experience in developing studies, research and legislative drafting;

- Experience in building advocacy campaigns and interacting with high level external stakeholders, including parliamentary, government and regional officials, on complex national, local, European, and global dossiers.

- Ability to work autonomously, tanking the full accountability of the tasks, and ability to collaborate with other colleagues and departments

- Critical thinking and problem solving, being able to engage external stakeholders and to handle challenges

- Excellent communication skills, public speaking/presentation skills, being flexible to adapt communication, tone and style to the different (external) stakeholders and/or audience and dealing with ambiguity

- Excellent writing skills

- Experience in handling projects

- Demonstrate passion for all the political, geo-political topics, having the ability to handle the topic, creating connections, opportunity and strategy

- Fluency in Italian and English languages is a must
