Purchasing officer

Key Accountabilities

- Setting up and maintain good supplier relationships

- Constantly looking for opportunities and ensure backup suppliers

- Conducting frequent tenders for all items

- Ensure procurement cycle and product delivery according to the production schedules

- Follow-up and communicate with suppliers about updates, order status, material specifications, inquiries, and quality issues

- Collaborates with other departments to identify and develop needs and requirements for equipment, materials, products, and acceptable substitutions

- Identify opportunities for cost savings

- Continually improve purchasing methods/processes

Profile

- Degree in Economics or any related field

- Fluent in English

- Ability to analyse data from different sources

- Excellent negotiation and collaboration skills with attention to the details

- Good planning, organizational skills and team player

- Good command of ERP (SAP is an advantage) and MS Office
