We are currently seeking a QC/QA Engineer to join our team and contribute to this exciting journey.
Position Overview: The QC/QA Engineer role is a key position within a fast-growing international company operating in the space industry, with a specific focus on micro and small satellites.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all stages of production and testing comply with international quality standards and project specifications.
The candidate will work closely with the engineering and production teams to monitor and optimize activities related to quality, ensuring compliance with timelines and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Verifying the presence and compliance of documents and equipment referenced in the work order, the production document set, or the procedure.
Ensuring that required traceability is properly recorded.
Verifying that all required records from previous stages have been made and that any non-conformities have been formalized and recorded.
Checking the validity status of the tools used.
Performing the required checks based on the phase content or applicable general instructions and recording the results.
Verifying operator certifications.
Certifying the produced configuration and equipment compliance with the applicable configuration.
Identifying and notifying any physical anomalies, NCRs, and deviations.
Certifying the application of decisions related to non-conformities on equipment.
Ensuring that equipment with anomalies is kept separated.
Preparing and presenting documentation for equipment subject to internal inspection or customer key point inspection.
Performing internal inspections.
Checking items/materials with limited shelf life and ensuring that the remaining life is adequately monitored and tracked.
Providing support to MRR/DRB with the customer.
Certifying cleanliness/contamination levels for flight hardware.
Requirements: Master's degree in Engineering, preferably in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electronic, or related fields.
At least 3-5 years of experience in similar roles, preferably in the space or aerospace sector.
Knowledge of ISO standards, quality management systems, and space certifications (e. g. , ISO 9001, AS9100).
Experience with testing techniques and quality control for complex systems like satellites.
Project management skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
Problem-solving skills and experience with non-conformity management.
Excellent knowledge of English, both written and spoken.
Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Capability to work in an international and dynamic environment with strong organizational skills.
Car owner and available for occasional travel within Italy and abroad.
Preferred Skills: Results-oriented approach with attention to detail.
Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across departments.
Analytical skills and the ability to manage quality-related issues.
