**POSITION OVERVIEW.

**:

QC Technician I reports to the Quality Manager

Promotes quality awareness and ensure that the quality management system is followed consistently and support all functions to ensure the system is up to date and are actual practices.

**PRIMARY DUTIES**:

Ensure consistent quality of production by performing the inspection protocols planned for raw materials, intermediates and finished goods, validating and developing analysis methods, providing documentation

DAILY ACTIVITY OF QUALITY CONTROL

- Ensure that all safety Organization's protocols and procedures are respected and good housekeeping is maintained in the Quality Control Laboratory.

- Ensure the timely QC release of all raw materials, intermediates and finished goods

- Ensure accurate record of the the results of the inspections and testing (both data and samples when required).

- Ensure that all equipments are calibrated as scheduled and maintain the respective records of verification.

- Monitor critical equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation and calibration.

- Coordinate with R&D in order to improve our process control continuously.

- Suggest improvement and update of the inspection procedures, protocol and checklists and actively collaborate for the realization of the improvements.

- Collaborate with the Logistic department, ensuring the timely availability of the certificate of analysis whenever necessary for the shipping of the goods.

- Collaborate with the Production department to improve the process also using statistical review of QC data.

- Participate to the training sessions planned by the Organization.

QC ACTIVITY WITHIN THE QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

- Involvement and support to the Organization's quality system

- Involvement during external audits and customer visits

- Collaboration for accurate and on time response/resolution of internal not conformity or complaints.

- Carry out root cause analysis together with the other departments regarding customer complaints and internal not conformity.

- Collaborate to the implementation and verification of corrective and preventive measures.

- Participate to the quality improvement in production process by means of statistical review of QC data.

- Collaborate with internal functions to continuously improve the system and together raise the quality awareness.

DAY TO DAY ACTIVITY OF THE QUALITY CONTROL LAB

- Ensure all safety protocols are respected and good housekeeping maintained

- Ensure that quality training is done sufficiently and operators trained

- Ensure the release of all raw materials, intermediates and finished goods

- Ensure the creation of certificate of analysis of all products timely including the uploading in customer tools if necessary

- Ensure all customer requirements are met (In specification, COA requirements, etc.

)

- Coordinate with R&D in order to improve our process control continuously

- Ensure that stock management is done sufficiently and operators trained

- Ensure process quality in production by means of statistical process control

- Ensure that hygienic requirements are met

- Ensure all equipments are calibrated as scheduled

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Specialized /B. S. C in chemistry or 2 + years experience in Quality Control or 1+ year experience in the adhesive industry (HMPUR, WB, HMWW, TPHM).

- Knowledge of SPC is an advantage

- Preferably familiar with physical testing (e. g: Viscosity, pH, solid content, Grit, Color)

- Knowledge of ISO 9001 would be beneficial

- Ability to assert oneself, organization, prioritization skills.

- Precision and Accuracy being key skills.

- Excellent Italian + good English written and verbal communication skills

- Excellent computer skills Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access

- Knowledge of SAP.

- Ability to make decisions
