Job description: As the QHSE Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our client's operations within the ship dry bulk sector.

Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) aspects of the fleet's bulk cargo operations. Develop and maintain safety management systems to ensure compliance with international regulations and company policies. Implement and monitor safety procedures, risk assessments, and corrective actions. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement. Provide guidance and training to crew members on safety practices and procedures. Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and near misses, and recommend preventive measures. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance. Job Requirements: Sailed as Chief Mate or Master onboard a Bulk Carrier or similar. Experience working as a Marine or Safety Superintendent in the shipping industry. Strong understanding of ship dry bulk operations and relevant regulations. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to work independently and make decisions in high-pressure environments. Living in, or willing to relocate to, Italy. Right to live and work in the EU. Willingness to travel as required by the role.
