Thales Alenia Space is a leader in Assembly Integration e Test for Payload, Observation, and Navigation Satellites, especially for the realization of constellation, based in AIT Rome.

We are looking for a Quality Control Inspector and its role is to guarantee the correct execution of AIT activities according to the company processes defined by the Quality Management System named CHORUS 2 and specific instruction procedures from the programs.

The Quality Control assures that all the operators are certified according to the specific department skill matrix.

The Quality Control works with delegation by the Quality Assurance concerning the verification of product conformity.

Key duties: Check the presence and conformity of the documents and equipment referenced in the work order, the production document set, or the procedure. Check the required traceability is recorded. Check that all records requested in previous phases have been made and that any nonconformance have been formalized and recorded. Check the validity status of the means used. Perform the checks requested according to the contents of the phase or the general instruction applicable, and record the results. Check the operator certifications. Certify the configuration produced and the conformity of the equipment with the applicable configuration. Identify and notify any physical anomaly, NCR, and Deviations. Certify the application of decisions related to nonconformities on the equipment. Ensure that equipment presenting anomalies is kept separate. Prepare and present the documentation for equipment subject to internal or customer key point inspection. Perform internal key inspection point in case of delegation from Quality. Check limited life items/materials and assure that residual life is properly controlled and tracked. Provide support to MRR/DRB with customer. Certify cleanliness/Contamination levels for the flight Hardware. He will interface with the Project Responsible (AIT Manager, Quality Assurance, and all disciplines), and he will collaborate with other Thales departments including project managers, industrial engineering, and manufacturing.

Skills, experience and qualifications required: Master degree in Quality or equivalent. Good Knowledge of ISO and ECSS standard. Organized and methodical approach to the work with strong communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time, to work autonomously or in a team. Strong attitude to achieve results within time and cost constraints. Good Knowledge of Health Safety Environmental Standard. Problem-solving attitude. Good Knowledge of Digital Transformation/Innovation Process. Good knowledge of English and Italian in writing and speaking (most of the internal procedures and processes are in Italian language).
