QUALITY MANAGER

to join our Erlanger factory in US.

We are looking for a hands-on, results-oriented and outgoing Quality Manager to join our team!

In this role, you will work directly with our manufacturing team as well as our customers and suppliers with the goal to focus on and improve product quality.

This position reports to the Business Unit Manager of Exel US in our Erlanger, Kentucky office.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and improve the Quality systems and processes used in our manufacturing, ensuring conformance to specifications, and that our quality certifications and standards are up to date.

- Arrange and manage external and internal quality audits in collaboration with Management Team

- Manage root cause analysis for all customer and internal quality issues

- coordinate fast actions on quality issues and follow up

- implement continuous improvement processes

- secure all procedures and protocols available at all points needed

- Support production, SCM and R&D to develop and manage supply chain

- supplier capability and quality issues

- customer quality audits

- new product development quality processes and process capability

- Work with other functions to implement systematic and harmonized processes and practices for

- Operations to improve the capability of the process

- Operations to identify and correct root causes for scrap

- Sales to ensure pertinent quality issues are "designed" into the process

**Required**:

- Bachelor of engineering, mechanical engineering, chemistry or have equivalent related experience

- Minimum 3 years of relevant quality experience working in a manufacturing environment

- Familiar with Quality Management Systems; particularly ISO 9001

- Must take strong initiatives and activity to drive continuous improvement and lean practices to our internal daily operations

- Experience working effectively with OEM customers

- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office

- Strong mechanical spec interpretation skills

- Define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and succinctly present data and information

- Effective and strong verbal and written communications skills

- Must be a well-organized and motivated self-starter

- Willingness to travel and work as required to achieve objectives
