Quality Manager - Manufacturing Site
The Quality Manager will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance and control processes in the hand tools manufacturing site of Gemonio.
This role involves developing and implementing quality management systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
The Quality Manager works closely with the production function to cascade down the corporate quality standard and support the development of a quality culture.
He/She is responsible for reporting activities related to the costs of non-quality and, with his team, developing corrective and preventive actions to reduce them.
The Quality Manager coordinates the different functions of the site to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and guarantees that the qualification process of new products is correctly applied.
MAIN TASKS Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System in accordance with ISO standards and other relevant regulations.
Ensure all quality processes and procedures are documented, communicated, and adhered to.
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with QMS and identify areas for improvement.
Oversee the inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet quality standards.
Implement and monitor quality control procedures to detect and address defects or non-conformities.
Develop IPQC and IQC documents.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
In collaboration with the Finance Department, identify and analyze the cost of poor quality.
Participate in workgroups for NPD and check and approve new customer documentation.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and increase efficiency.
Utilize quality tools such as 5Ws, 8D, and fishbone diagrams to conduct Root Cause Analysis in case of non-conformances.
Implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence of quality issues.
Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the organization.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials.
Conduct supplier audits and assessments to verify compliance with quality standards.
Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Manage and develop the quality assurance team, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
Promote a collaborative and proactive approach to quality management within the team.
Ensure the team is equipped with the necessary tools and resources to perform their duties effectively.
