Quality / Manufacturing Director - Vacuum Product
To drive and further develop this business we are looking for a **Quality/Manufacturing Director**.
This is a key role to develop a new approach to our innovative solutions both in our design and manufacturing, to lead a newly formed team aimed to build a Quality & Customer First Culture at all levels.
As our new Director, you will bring Quality as part of everyday operations while putting necessary focus, influence new product introduction and manage the entire product lifecycle.
In liaison with other functions, you will support Order Fulfillment perspectives based on the technology driven model as equal partner with R&D.
**This role has the following responsibilities**:
- Lead the Quality & Manufacturing team (10 members + 1 supervisor)
- Collaborate with the management team, R&D and marketing to deliver on our growth objectives, focusing on unmatched quality at all levels.
- Lead new product introduction (NPI) activities in coordination with R&D to ensure manufacturability and conformance with the global supply chain.
- Establish and implement functional business plans and technical project objectives to meet the short

- term goals of the organization.
- Manage FMEA process and related risk analysis associated with process and product.
Helps to identify and research validation plans relevant to the new product introduction in cooperation with other business functions.
Establishes and controls QA and QC of our legacy released products and all related trainings and procedures including Document Control and Design Change management.
- Involved in recommendation/development of division objectives, strategies, and long-term business plans to achieve financial goals and value creation through warranty and cost of poor quality reductions plans.
- Communicate with Business Quality Manager for continuous alignment over process improvement and best customer experience.
Communicates with CoE Quality Manager for process harmonization with other divisions and encourages and researches introduction of analytics tools to enhance QMS digitalization.
- Remain abreast of emerging technologies, solutions relevant to the Vacuum Products Division
- Be responsible for managing integration of new products into manufacturing environment at different Agilent locations.
This full-time job can be based in Turin (IT) requires a willingness and ability to travel in Italy and internationally.
Partial work from home is allowed.
- **University Degree** in **Mechanical**, **Aeronautical** or **Chemical** **Engineering**:
- **Significant managing experience in leading a team** within a **Manufacturing** or **Quality** **environment**:
- Technical knowledge in fluid dynamics, mechanics or chemistry is preferred
- Any previous experience in supply chain, supplier quality or procurement is an advantage
- Full fluency in **English** and at least basic level of **Italian
On a personal level, you are **outgoing**, **proactive** and a **strong leader.
** You also have **great interpersonal** skills to communicate with both internal and external partners.
