Please Note: This is a remote role, with regular travel to our external suppliers within the Milan, Crema, Bergamo or Limitrophe areas.

The successful individual will need to be happy to travel to these regions or located within easy access of these locations.

**What the job does**:

We are looking for a innovative, passionate superstar to join Team Tilbury as our Quality Specialist ( Colour Approval & Testing).

As part of the Charlotte Tilbury Global Quality Team, the Colour Specialist will be crucial to ensure that the Charlotte Tilbury products meet, or exceed, the quality expectation set for the brand.

By working closely with NPD, Supply team and external Third-Party Manufacturers the Colour Approval Specialist will be mainly responsible for quality supervision of the assigned third party manufacturers and for the colour matching monitoring of the products placed on the market.

- Key Responsibilities:_

- Own the colour matching approval process to ensure full compliance against the approved standards of bulks of lipsticks, emulsions, powders, eyeshadows, and other anhydrous powder.

- Be the first point of contact for troubleshooting in case colours expectations are not met providing clear feedback and directions to the contract manufacturers.

- Presence on manufacturing sites might be frequently needed.

- Escalate any risk to supply to Quality Manager and other stakeholders such as Supply Chain Ensure standards are approved and renewed in a timely manner

- Maintenance and improvement of colour approval trackers

- Ownership of Certificate of Analysis, batch production records and other QC documentation including receipt, reviewing, and archiving

- From time to time, attend to bulk and filing trials and/or main productions at contract manufacturers.

- If needed, perform audits on Finished Goods and Components at our contract manufacturers.

- Report on Quality KPIs (Key Performance Indicator) concerning colour matching and drive improvements working closely with the suppliers and internal stakeholders.

- Ensuring Finished Good defect range-boards are always in place before main production.

- Monitor the quality performance of suppliers and drive quality improvements.

- Ensuring resolution of Non-Conformances with internal teams and external manufacturers setting up immediate actions, root cause investigations and CAPA

- Being the interface with our external warehouses to organise quality control inbound checks on new and existing products.

- As colour and testing specialist, draft and circulate testing methods, working instructions and SOPs as part of CT QMS ( Quality Management System).

**Requirements**:

- Some attributes we are looking for:_

- Bachelor's Science Degree (chemistry, biology, cosmetic science or equivalent) preferred

- Pluriannual experience in R&D or Quality Control department in cosmetic industry as colour expert ( visual and instrumental).

- Excellent understanding of Quality Assurance, Quality control and testing procedures including colorimeter and/or spectrophotometer

- Proven previous experience & knowledge of stability and compatibility testing for cosmetic products and industrialization of make-up products.

( Lipsticks, foundations and powders)

- Very good knowledge of GMP for cosmetic products and GLP.

- Excellent attentions to details, result-orientated and have excellent communication skills.

- Happy to travel often to suppliers sites and with home-based working on the day to day activities

- Professional speaking and writing proficiency in both Italian and English.
