JOB PURPOSEThe role will coordinate the effective and efficient management of Textile and Leather Raw Materials across the RTW Supply Chain (within the Soft Apparel & Tailoring Product Category) achieving and exceeding functional quality standards, through a strong and competent supplier base, strategically sound relationships and sound technical knowledge. Contribute in driving strategic thinking through a matrix approach, optimising efficiencies in ordering, cost negotiation, RM stock management and on-time delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIESEnsure a robust procurement strategy & approach with the commitment of all relevant internal stakeholders is developed in partnership with the Senior Management within the Soft Apparel & Tailoring Product Category across all divisions (MW, WW and CHW)Partner with the business and maintain continuous dialogue to understand ongoing business needs & future aspirationsDevelop, maintain and evolve a robust supplier matrixBuild & establish collaborative partnerships with key suppliers, including timely two-way communications, feedback on performance, risk mitigationAssist in the end-to-end management activities of the supplier base (including selecting & onboarding, negotiation, matrix & risk management, capacity management, performance & exit)Participate actively in the negotiation of cost, lead time and minimums of RMsBuild cost sheet breakdown for RMs focusing particularly on core or strategic RMsMap and manage supply chain for core or strategic RMs/SuppliersContribute and support sustainable materials and manufacturingBuild and maintain strategic industry linksFollow commodity markets and anticipate business impactTrack supplier performance in line with KPIs setContribute to elevate technical knowledge and competencyFeedback & ReportingReview supplier performance management feedback & agree appropriate response mechanismReport on KPIsEnsure effective use of systems and maintenance & accuracy of dataPERSONAL PROFILETechnical degree in textile or textile related studies is an advantageItalian and English spoken fluentlyAdvanced level of ExcelKnowledge of luxury industryExcellent communication and negotiation skillsStrong soft/interpersonal skillsFOOTERBurberry is an Equal Opportunities Employer and as such, treats all applications equally and recruits purely on the basis of skills and experience.
