R&D CONTROLLER

**Opportunity

This is a great opportunity to join the finance team of an Italian corporate operating in the renewable energy product sector based in the province of Trento.

**Responsibilities

The future R&D Controller, reporting directly to the CFO, leads all financial tasks in regard to R&D new product development, cost visibility measures, project cost analysis and monthly finance closing processes and provides input for the ledger controller in regards to the monthly Forecasting and annual budgeting cycles.

- Delivers timely and accurate information, insights and reporting to enable operational partners to make business decisions Acts as a business partner to cross functional departments leaders to identify opportunities and supports with financial analysis and expertise for business opportunities evaluations

- Leads the month end close process for all R&D Controlling and Accounting Activities

- Develops and coordinates R&D business plans and supports Project Managers

- Provides financial modelling, investment appraisal and support to develop robust business cases which align to strategy and consider benefits and risk, and accurate and timely financial reports and the interpretation of such including variance analysis, cost control reporting and recommendations

- Manages budgets around projects internally and externally

- Evaluates and approves R&D capital appropriation requests prior to EMT approval

- Monitors and reports purchase commitments and spending

- Liaises with auditors to ensure alignment with legal grant requirements

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's Degree in Finance

- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Finance and Accounting, ideally with strong R&D controlling background

- Fluent in English

- Good Excel knowledge

- Navision knowledge is an advantage
