What you will do The R&D Deployment Packaging Engineer supports deployment and qualification of primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging for projects in his scope. These projects might be - but not limited to - NPD, reformulation, quality and compliance of packaging components, qualification of equivalent packaging materials or additives, mould duplication, plant support. The R&D Deployment Packaging Engineer demonstrates a high level of accountability in project documentation to ensure Quality & Compliance targets are systematically met. The R&D Deployment Packaging Engineer executes projects E2E and is also supporting R&D Packaging transversal programs. Under supervision, supports simple to medium complexity technical projects. The overall strategy for the Packaging Team is provided by the Regional Management and all activities part of the R&D Deployment Engineer Packaging's mission are always focused on deploying the regional strategy. Key Responsibilities Execute technical solutions, including materials aligned to sustainability guidelines. Execute the packaging development plan. Analyse and validate packaging technical drawings. Define and communicate packaging milestones. Evaluate and communicate risks with associated mitigation/back up plans. Initiate safety assessment processes, through proper communication to the responsible department. Generate Packaging documentation for Product release for his own projects or validate packaging documents for projects managed by his direct reports or by another member of the Packaging Team. What we are looking for Qualifications Required: 3-5 years of experience in Packaging, preferably in the Personal Care industry. Bachelor's degree in Packaging, Engineering, or a related science field is required; advanced degree is preferred. Preferred experience in CPG/FMCG. Key Capabilities Experience with packaging technologies ranging from injection moulding to fiber-based packaging. Good understanding of key principles on sustainability and eCommerce (Omnichannel) packaging is required. Strong in Packaging Development, materials application, conversion technologies, DfM principles, consumer use analysis. Data savvy - ability to use data, insights & analytics to support perspectives. Ability to communicate across the organization, including succinctly communicating technical details to non-technical stakeholders and business partners. Ability to influence cross-functional partners to deploy & implement programs. Identify and evaluate technical solutions, including materials aligned to sustainability guidelines. Ability to balance multiple stakeholders, both across functions and geographics. Comfortable making presentations, has good speaking ability and interpersonal skills.
